No you can't the original file has now been replaced.

It's no different from deleting the file in the first place than creating a new document with the same name.

I created a document in Word 2007 and saved it on a flash drive. I brought it up in word 2010 to make some changes and print it out. When I went to print it it printed only one letter per line in th

If you are able to create and print new documents in Word 2010 then I would not do anything to the Word 2010 installation. However, if the problem is with printing only then it might be best to check of the printer driver installed on the Word 2010 computer is working ok. Also try a Print Preview before you print to see how it looks on the PC screen.
Otherwise it may be simply a compatibility issue of the document created in Word 2007. Open it in Word 2010 and save as a new file. Then open the new file and do a Print preview before printing.

How do i get into my computer if i have forgotten my password

it depends on whether the lost password is in the cmos or in windows, if it is in the cmos, boot up, the you have to clear the password by changeing the jumper on the mother board. This is usually close to the battery. unplug the computer, reset the jumper , reset the jumper back to its original location. plug up and turn on. while in very early boot up, press the del. key or the f2 key repeatedly until the setup bios menu comes up. make your setting, save and the computer will reboot and load your operating system if all is correct. Also, check the documentation on the manufactures web site for more info.

My Asus k501 won't hold a charge for more than a couple hours...any suggestions on how to gain some battery life?

Try turning down the brightness of the unit as much as possible. Other than that, you're not going to get much out of the battery. May have to buy another battery in the long run.

Just curious as to on a MAC, as I have 10.6, it will show SEARCH FOR on the side and under my all documents it shows Today, Yesterday, past week as well as All Documents, All Movies and All Images used on...

The Finder window will help you to find files on the left hand side of its window. It helps you to find files that have been opened or modified by you Today, Yesterday... Don't delete these files as you might loose them!
The results of the search doesn't take memory, but these files are located somewhere else in your drive. Deleting them will result in their loss,
Hope that helps

Would like to change the default font size from 10 to 12 in microsoft word processor - Windows Vista.

The defaults are stored in the document template. Edit the template,, make the desired changes and then save it. Make sure you save it as a .dot (template). Now, every time you create a new document it will have the new settings.
