Via Bluetooth or Manual Connection? I'll tell you how to do both.

Bluetooth
To check if your computer has bluetooth, Click the windows logo at the bottom left. Type "bluetooth"
and it should come up. If it doesn't, then you need to buy an adapter. Then click bluetooth, search for your phone (make sure bluetooth is enabled) and it should appear. Then your phone will act as if it is connecting to another phone.

Manual
If your phone didn't come with a cable to connect it to your computer, then you will need to go out and buy one. When you plug in your phone, it will be automatically scanned and added to your computer as a compatible device. From there, it will appear as a new drive under Start > Computer > and it will probably be called Removable Disk.

some older network cards are incompatible with the latest encryption so you could try setting the router up to use wep encryption 64bit instead

No dial tone

Your computer shouldn't have a dial-tone. If it's your phone that you're talking about, ensure that there's a correct connection. If that doesn't work, try using a different phone. If the issue remains, call your phone provider and they will come and fix it.

How do i connect phone to laptop connection

So do you have internet service at the house? If so you can plug the ethernet cable from the modem directly into the computer's ethernet port.

If you're talking about directly connecting to your cell phone, then the phone has to have the built in router in it. If it does, you can connect your computer to it wirelessly.

If you're talking about a regular old house phone (land line) then you would be very slow if you could get it connected. I don't think the newer models of computers even have a modem port to connect a telephone line into it. But basically you would still need a internet service provider to connect it.

Bear in mind that there is a difference between the phone cord and the ethernet cord. The phone cord is smaller in size and the end that plugs in is smaller.

Transfer of photo's from phone to computer

Hi
Did you have any luck connecting to the PC?
Tried mine but couldn't connect through the USB [no phone found!]
Could've tried bluetooth but then again,it doesn't apply here.
Thought this device could never connect to a PC!
If you can connect, just open the folder with the pictures and drag them onto the desktop.

Good luck!

Hi I've a SAMSUNG HT-Z310 and I'm trying to connect it to my laptop or home broadband, is that possible?? If what do I need or need to do?? Many thanks Brian.

Sometimes, when connecting phones to laptops, you have to update software information on your laptop, requiring internet connection. Also, you must make sure that if your phone has an option for USB under its Connectivity in Settings, that it says PC Suite, Mass Storage, or Modem.

Note: Not all phones are able to be connected to a computer.

I would try:
1. updating driver
2. try connecting via Ethernet, if the issue is only wireless connectivity, try using a USB wireless network adapter, if that works means your lappy has a bad built in network adapter.
3. Are you locating laptop too far from router?
Good luck.

Do you get a prompt on the laptop (or the Nokia) requesting permission to connect to the BlueTooth network?

P.S. Look for a 'Fn Lock' key on the laptop. Press it to make all the other 'Fn' keys work.
