Angle the bottom might be a mess but it is the top thread that
you see balled up .Pull the top thread and make sure there is tension on it ,if not check the thread is between the discs and there is nothing else between them .if this is ok there is something stopping the top thread from being pulled back up
through the needle plate to form a good stitch,if you can turn by hand and watch where it is catching you might be able to solve it.

My top thread is picking and the bottom thread is fine i have tried rethreading and re did the bobbin even changed threads and tried the tension

If the top thread is too loose and the bottom is tight you can loosen the top tension and this should take care of the problem. You may need to adjust the bobbin by tightening if it is still not as pretty as you would like it. Look at my attachment on how to set tension.

I have a singer sewing machine 5525 it will not sew

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top and bobbin
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly
also make sure the bobbin is turned the right way
it's also possible that the machines timing needs to be checked

When I sew the top stitch is fine butthe bottom sometimes looks like a 3 sided box and sometimes bunches up. I have tried to adjust the tension. How can I fix this?

Check the bobbin tension and that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder.

It is the bottom bobbin tension and it is model 621B not 6218 as I had originally typed. The bottom bobbin makes oddles of loops while sewing and the top tension is fine.

What is wrong is that you haven't got it threaded right on top. Try this test, with your presser foot up, pull on your top thead and it should come smoothly, then put the presser foot down and try it. it should hardly move. That way you know that the tension discs are connecting with the thread. Whenever it is not right on the bottom, always look at the top threading, just the opposite of what you think. Also, put in a new needle and make sure that you thread is of good quality and not tangled.

Hopefully you have a new needle in the right way and not a dull bent one. And are putting your bobbin in correctly so that when looking at the back of the bobbicase and when pulling the thread it turns clockwise. Counter-clockwise things like this will happen. Also that the foot is up when threading ensuring that the thread goes between the tension disks. Serious jam ups can also cause it to get out of timing which you may need a tech for.

Singer Inspiration 4205... doesn't work!

Check the position of the bottom piece that holds the bobbin carrier to the left so it rides smoothly on the rotating hook that carries the upper thread around the bobbin. I found my wife"s machine loose so the bobbin carrier was out of position and not riding on the ledge of the rotating part. loosen two screws and push it to the left and tighten.
If upper thread bunches below the material it needs more tension so it pulls back up through the material.
If the old singers were fords this is a yugo
(been fixing and adjusting her machines for years. ))
