Same problem. I have a Karcher 395 and want to replace the broken inlet elbow, but I cannot figure out how to get the plastic valve assebly free from the cast metal cover to change it. Seems as thought the valve assembly is pressed into the housing. To force it out may damaage the whole assembly.

i just open the case where the inlet hose located but i can't remove the plastic casing from aluminum casing.

I also need to replace the water inlet but the manuals do not indicate how to do it and there appears to be no service center anywhere near Orlando. These machines seem to be throwaways.

I have a Karcher g 2500 VH and my inlet connector is stripped. In order remove it from the machine,. you have to remove a wire clip that holds it in place. Once the clip is removed, you simply pull the water inlet from the machine.

To remove the clip, use a small screwdriver.

I found that by putting the housing in the freezer for a couple of hours, i was able to tap the metal and plastic body apart and install the new inlet elbow.

I was tapping for 30 before I put it in the freezer as suggested. Work in three taps after a 3 hour freeze.... Seem the plastic shrinks more in the freezer than the aluminum house and it moves more freely....

Using the blunt end of a screwdriver or oter wide blunt tool, mount the assy on an opened viseso that the plastic is just clear of the vise jaws. The gently tap with a plastic mallet or lightweight hammer all around the aluminum enclosure. Slowly but surely it will work its way out.
On a firm flat wooden surface, reverse the procedure to "carefully replace the new part.

I can suggest where to look for instructions. Karcher USA has the manuals for all of their residential pressure washer models at this website:
http://www.karcher-usa.com/manuals.php

And there are diagrams of the various Karcher 395 assemblies at this website:
http://www.pressureparts.com/mmDEV/PDF/karcherparts/K395M-PLUS%201.141-966.0.pdf

Hope it helps!

Karcher k 5.700 very low presure and how to fix it thanks

1 water inlet filter clean ?? not limed or ??
2 nozzle clean.
3 pressure control valve properly screwed
Sometimes water hoses are provided with a slot at the hose connection with an internal water seal, which is the wrong way to the water tap instead of to the machine

Hi i have a karcher k4.91 and it is lossing pressure and leaking from inside the casing..what would be the likely cause.. many thanks

This could be a problem in the pump, the seals may have been damaged if it is an older machine through age. You could check a local karcher supplier/dealer and they should be able to replace that for you. Another problem maybe that an inlet elbow could be loose and does not seal correctly so it may need replacing.

These solutions depend on what area inside the machine the water is leaking from.

REMOVE PUMP

Look for a black plastic cover with a silver snap on top; pry off the silver snap and lift off the plastic cover; next remove the two screws on the top plate then pull out the piston inside - if unable to lift out, start unit and watch it pop out - coat piston with lithium grease and reinstall.

The sticking pressure relief valve is somewhat common with the Karcher 2400HH series pressure washer, it is caused by hard water and lack of grease on the pressure relief valve. To remedy the problem, use silicone (plumbers) grease to lube the o-rings on the unloader valve part# 4591040 (karcher calls it a spill valve on the parts list) You can click on the link below for more help. A helpful note, if you store your pressure washer for long periods of time, than you should draw anti-freeze into the pump for storage... make a short 2' garden hose and connect it to the inlet of the pump, with a funnel stuffed into the end, poor anti-freeze into the hose and start the engine, this will draw the solution into the pump and protect it from corrosion and keep all internal parts lubricated (plus keep the pump from freezing).

Take a socket that is the same size as the black plastic and tap it down through the hole until it comes out. I have done several of these this way.

I have electric Karcher 330. i did not use for a couple years. tried out today from storage, it seemed the water jet was not strong, so may be the pumper problem or I need to clean the inlet hose? thanks!

the problem is your water seals,
you need to change them,
over time it became dry rot.
have the pump service at the same point.
the springs in the valves can be rusty and brittle..

Broken water inlet on Karcher 395 pressure washer

Had the same problem. Those hose inlet are very delicate.
I went to Home Depot,to the Garden Section in the hoses stand, and found a flexible connector for about $ 6.00 and I used it as a replacement for the broken hose inlet.
