I have a panasonic TH-C42HD18. Last night a fuse in my fuse box flipped so I lost power to the tv. I reset the fuse (in the fuse box) but now My tv will not turn on. Everything else plugged in to that outlet is working (ie: dtv, blueray) but no power at all when it comes to my tv. Is there a reset or something maybe?

Normal reset procedure is to leave the television unplugged anywhere from a half hour to 24 hours depending on the model. However, you are not mentioning the use of a surge protector and if you weren't using one you may have fried your TV due to the surge.

If you have no power light on TV ,then you must have a blowed Fuse on the power supply board.
Check Fuse and check board for Bad Capacitors they will be vented or swollen on Top.

How to reset tv

hi Tracie,
is the set making a clicking noise?
is the power light flashing on the front?
or no power light at all just dead?
if the set is just dead, just put your ear to the back vents can you hear like a very faint screaming noise and can you smell and burning in the vent?
if so it just could be capacitors on the power board.
if its clicking the that will need a service kit on the power supply board.
if the power led is flashing then you will need to count how many flashers from start to finish when you first turn set on.
hope this helps.

I have a Panasonic TH-C42HD18 Plasma, it has been excellent for a long time. Recently, after a power outage, I now have a ~2" black bar at the bottom of the screen. It is not a video adjustment, it is...

Sustain board fault suspected. If you wish to get more details, check this link. It has screen-shots to defective Plasma Displays. You can compare them to that of your TVs, and make sure about the fault. It will be best. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

Can your power cord be bad on a panasonic plasma tv to cause it to turn off and not start again and blow a fuse on pb

The main power regulator board will have some shorted component/s on it. Normally, these boards to plasma TVs are irreparable. Card base replacement should be done.

Th-c42fd18 blinking two times, no power

I can't find any info on this model number, are you sure you got it right?
2 flashes is usually related to the power board. It may be caused by a bad ventilation. Probably the fans are very dirty and can't refrigerate the set.
After replacing the power board, clean the fans.

I hope this helps.
