Up until now, the Kyocera FS-1350DN printer has successfully gone into sleep mode and wakes up when a job is sent. Now, 15 or so mins after it has printed, it turns itself right off. I have to flick the switch of then on for it to start.

My printer will not print after sitting for about 30 minutes. As soon as I turn it off and then back on the job I previously sent, prints out. I tried changing the amount of time before it goes to sleep but this does not correct it and does not seem to be related. This is the only solution is see and it didn't solve the problem

Disable sleep mode or update firmware. Cause this is a firmware bug.

You have a sensor broken.
or you have a spring missing!

open the my computer folder then open the printer folder then open the settings tap you can turn the enegry setting off no more going to sleep.

Hi, Check the power saving setting under the printer. Usually the power saving setting for network is switched on, this needs to be switched off.

There are two stages to the sleep mode, One is a low power condition. That is the real sleep mode. There is also a time that will shut the machine off. You can go into the machine setups and shut that timer off.

you need to scroll thru your menus...paper handling section...make sure mp tray is set to FIRST..that way it will pull from the mp tray untill it is empty than switch to your cassette

Hi Mark, first of all,You need to check ports on Your PC ,if this printer is networked.Second, try to set sleep or Energy saver mode on printer to highest possible time.To do that,just press "Menu" key on printer control panel and go through menu to find sleep mode.And maybe best solution is to upgrade firmware on your respectable machine.For that, You need :Compact Flash card type 1,Card reader,and firmware.Obtain or download firmware files or informations about that from Kyocera web site or from Kyocera service partner in Your country. Copy unzipped files to CF card(you need to format CF card on printer -Read user manual )Switch off printer.Push card in CF Card Slot in printer.switch on printer and wait till all light flashing on printer control panel.Switch off printer and remove CF card.You can contact me if you have any problems about that machine.BR
