Question about Mitsubishi WS-65712 65" Rear Projection Television
WHEN WE TURN ON OUR MITSUBISHI 65712 THE GREEN LIGHT COMES ON FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND THEN SHUTS OFF. YESTERDAY IT STAYED ON FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS AND A THE PROGRAM WE WERE WATCHING THE DAY BEFORE CAME ON BEFORE IT SHUT OFF. IT HAS NOT STAYED ON LONGER THAN 5 SECONDS BEFORE SHUTTING OFF SINCE THEN. PLEASE ASSIST WITH A SOLUTION TO FIX THE TV.
Your tv is probably going into a "protection mode" this means something inside the set had failed. This is the tv's way of shutting down before more damage can occur. This could mean many different things that could have gone wrong with this unit. Your best bet is to call your local dealer and have them come out and look at it for you. Tearing apart tv's is very dangerous! Some sets have up to 30,000 volts on the anode! GOOD LUCK!
