Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
So I keep having this error code, F 02 come up on the Whirlpool Duet washer. I've tried just running on the drain/spin cycle, running a full cycle, unplugging and trying all again. Nada. There are no clothes in the machine now, but still a pretty substantial amount of water. I've read that I should check the filter, but am afraid to take it off with all this water, as one person said taking off the filter without draining the water would cause a flood. So.....what do I do to get all this water out? I guess I could scoop it out with a cup, but surely there's a better way....right? Please help, laundry is piling up!
Here's a helpful link you can try that explains the "F02" error and how to troubleshoot. Best of all, it explains how to minimize the mess from a potential flood:
Read through the information thoroughly prior to beginning any repairs. If you do not own a shop vac (wet/dry), you may consider purchasing a small inexpensive one. A size 5 gallon or less is sufficient to drain a front loader. If you do not understand something and require require addtional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

How to fix a Whirlpool Duet & Duet sport error code F02. Repairing your F02 error code can usually be done without ordering parts. Tools needed to repair your Duet F02 error code are towels and a quarter inch socket.
Tip the washer back at a 45 degree angle. On the bottom panel there are three or four screws, with the screws removed the panel will slide down and off. With the lower access panel now removed you will have access to the washers drain pump clean out.
With the water already bailed from the washer you can twist the filter head counter-clockwise to remove. Twisting the filter head counter-clockwise will loosen filter so it can be pulled out. With the filter out, clean and install back into washer.
Run a quick cycle to ensure the washer is back up and running and the F02 error has disappeared. If the error comes back it may require you to clean the drain pump filter again.
