Check Audio driver is installed.
Look for Control Panel Audio application that allows you to switch over to use mic/earphone sockets.

Earphones wont work with hy-2008-det turntable

I'm assuming it does have a headphone socket!
If you plug the headphones in and wiggle the plug around whilst inside it might cause some life to the headphones, even if it is only for a short time. If this is the case the headphone socket (not plug) is faulty. It could still be faulty if there is no connection. The contacts can easily break in the socket leaving no connection to the headphones.
It would be very cheap to replace the headphone socket.

I put my ear phones in my computer and i hear sound from my computer when i want to hear it in my head phones

Your computer has three similar connectors:

* GREEN - speaker/headphone output
* BLUE - input from cassette player or iPod
* PINK - input from microphone

Be sure to connect your ear-phones to the GREEN socket.

Where is the mic switch located on my laptop

P000257700 is microphone number and it could be placed in different places depending on the Toshiba series laptop itself, but most probably it is either (A) right above the screen or (B) right in front of the keyboard where you hold your palms while typing with fingers.
There should be a small hole with either "MIC" written besides or some microphone symbol like <<*>>
P.S. You can also plug ear-buds in the microphone socket - it seems strange, but it ear-buds work just like a microphone.

In recent days my headset (590A) has only been transmitting sound on the right ear via bluetooth connection, when I use the 3.5mm jack (connected to left ear) both ears work. Is there a fix for...

Your headset can be used as stereo headphones or a wireless microphone for a bluetooth enabled device like a cell phone or a computer. When you plug the headphones into a device with the 3.5mm jack the headset automatically turns into stereo headphones and disables the microphone(headphone mode). It sounds like whatever device your headset is connected to via bluetooth is using the wireless microphone protocol where sound only comes through the one speaker and the microphone is on(microphone mode). The bluetooth protocol settings of your device may have been changed accidentally. You will need to go into the bluettoth settings of your device you are using with your headset and change the protocol. If it is a cell phone you will need to go into the bluetooth settings in the settings menu. If it is a computer your can adjust the bluetooth settings in the control panel.

You can download the pdf file of your instruction manual for your headset here

I hope this was helpful and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for using FixYa

Hands free car kit

  1. The microphone socket is very tight. Ensure the microphone plug is pushed in completely on the handsfree Control Unit.
  2. There is a small cable and plug inserted into the top of the handset carrier. This is only a plug holder. The speaker will only work when this plug is plugged into the earphone socket on the side of the handset.
