Try reseting the network settings to factory and run a test for xbox live. if it's wireless you need to clone your DNS thru your wireless router. good luck

My son is enjoying xbox live. but we've changed internet provider (from sky to virgin media) and since then we are unable to connect his xbox to the internet so he cannot access his profile. i'd...

No, You do not have to change your xbox
No, You do not have to change you gamer tag
Yes, you can recover your profile

What your having is an internet issue, you must contact your internet service provider first. Xbox console connect with different connection as Static IP service (House Line) or Dynamic IP Service (Cable). Normally the person that installes your internet should help you configure all the equipment as they are trained for that service.

Thanks

Hooked up ps3 using hmdi cable worked not working now using the

mpc heesman1 might be right...

However. I´m inclined to think that you did change the input on your TV. So your problem is another, this is what you have to to to reset:

1. Unplug the HDMI cable from both the TV and PS3.
2. Plug in the AV MULTI OUT cable (the red, white, yellow one provided along with the system) to both your PS3 and TV.
3. Set the TV input to the correct one and turn it on.
4. turn on the PS3 with the front button but DON´T release it, keep your finger on it, until you hear a second beep, thats when you release the button, the PS3 will start to identify what it´s connected to and will display it on your TV.

Hope it helps.

E 74

E74: AV cable error... There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU.

if changing the cable doesnt work..... i came across a link that i believe would be useful for you....

Sreen is black

It's probably a problem with the connection of the PS to your tv. If the connection setup is right, and you still get no sound or colour, connect the PS3 to the TV using the standard-def A/V cable provided in the packaging and press and hold on the power button for about 3 seconds when you start up the console. After that, you can change the display settings to an HD connection and connect the PS3 to the tv using an HD cable. (That is if you want it in HD)

Connection failed

Is the connection wireless or wired? wired it should work fine but if it is wireless you may need to re set up your router and or the wireless settings in your network settings.

Ps3 doesnt connect to my computer monitor, how can i make it work?

Hey daashman,

According to information provided by the manufacturer, this particular Samsung model supports both VGA and DVI-type cable connections. The Playstation 3 however, does not currently support cables of either of these formats.

The good news is that there are ways around these limitations, typically in the form of a cable adaptor. Most models of the Playstation 3 should have an option for owners to use an HDMI cable to connect their TV or monitor, and many major electronic retailers often sell HDMI to DVI adaptors or adaptor cables of varying lengths.

If you're not quite sure what to look for, I would suggest checking out an online search engine for "HDMI to DVI adaptors." This should pull up a number of links that can provide you with not only detailed pictures, but also average pricing of the products available to you as well.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Well 1. you need a router
2. if you read the instructions with your ether net you are not supposed to plug into the one side ((BAD NO NO )) trying to run it through your pc is a pain cuzz the stupid format disk does not work on your pc... easy way use the dial up cuzz they want you too use on of there service providers or call your dsl provider for your login and password stuff... i run mine with a differnt ether net box i got from my cable company so i can share my dsl ip address and connection ..its a pain i would start with your service provider first.
