Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

Whirlpool double oven - AKZ161/AV After short electricity failure we are unable to reset the clock and use the bottom (main fan)oven. The display continues to show 'stop'. We have previously reset the time many times over past years.

I have the same on this appliance usually if the bottom oven has been operating at over 200 degrees. I have managed to reset the clock in the past by turning the over switch off and on again after a day or so, but I can't get it to work this time.

Timer beeper failure on Whirlpool Gold oven/range oven

Most of the beepers I am familiar with are built into the main control clock board assembly. The only way to repair this is to replace the whole main control board, not a cheap part.

I have a Whirlpool Electric Double wall oven model RBD245PDB4 that nothing comes on. I've reset the breaker thinking that was the problem and tested for voltage on the back of the oven. I have the...

pf= power failure

if your reading pf it could mean that you have lost voltage to the clock
take the control panal off and check to make sure you have the proper voltage there as well,

if you have the correct voltage there you should not have an isssue with the display, check for any obvious burn, or disconnected
but it will also let you know if there is a problem with the pig tail connection.....
im including the link to the reapir page
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=259431

before you try anything though you may just need to reset the clock
if you ahve the double push OFF on eithe oven
if you have the single oven push cancel

Beko double oven electric cooker - bottom oven (fan assisted) doesnt come on, rest of cooker works fine

This tutorial will show you how to check your Beko element and how to replace your Beko cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
1.Your Beko oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Beko manual.
2.If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
3.When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Whirlpool cooktop, built in oven and range

sounds like the clock is defective. ovens don't have a built in UPS, like computers, so when the power goes out, it usually takes the clock with it.

have a technician replace it.
