Question about Braun Syncro 7526 Electric Shaver
The clean and charge stand charges but no longer cleans. It simply shows the blue light on indicating that the shaver is clean. Pushing down the blue clean button does nothing.
I don't have a solution yet, but I have the same problem and I can tell you one thing: the problem is NOT in the base. I ordered a new replacement base, and the problem remains.
So it's in the shaver itself. I took apart the shaver and disconnected the shaver head from the batter and circuit board (as someone suggested elsewhere on this site), but that did not help either. It could be that I need to "reboot" the circuit board somehow, though I didn't see an easy or safe way of removing the rechargeable batteries. (Maybe I should just run the shaver batteries down to 0 and then recharge. Yeah, that's my next experiement. ;-)

There were several design flaws with the first incarnation of the Braun shaver cleaning base, in the 7000 series. The 8000 series base solves quite a few of them and are supposed to be quite reliable. Sorry to hear that yours is failing... it's rather uncommon.
I looked into obtaining a replacement for my 7000 series shaver cleaning base, but found the cost prohibitive. On mine, the infamous clip failed and would no longer hold the shaver in place (I have to use rubber bands to hold it).
In essence, you don't really need this cleaner. The best thing is to just tap out the whisker debris after each shave, then every couple of weeks use a cleaning solution and brush on the cutter block. But if you really want a replacement, I suggest trying to locate a used 8000 shaver (you can go with the lowest model, not the 8595). You might be able to get one on the cheap, especially if the shaver is beat up. I recommend going that route.

I have the same issue with a 7526 clean 'n' charge base. I could hear the motor for the fluid circulating pump whirring away. The problem turns out to be the motor shaft corroded and broke at a point where a gear should press fit on to the shaft. Motor turns-gear doesn't-fluid doesn't circulate. sigh... I guess this isn't so much a solution as a likely explanation. i will be buying a new Clean 'n' Renew base.

Use your Warranty. Or you could simply buy another one and return the Lemon one with the reciept for the new one.
