- For the first time i had the call option in my yahoo messenger 9.0.0.2152 version. Later when i signed in, i cant find the call option in my messenger.I even reinstalled the same messenger. No solution.
what is the problem in this case?

you have downloaded the yahoo messenger from yahoo.co.in, try downloading it from yahoo.com

there is a bug in yahoo messenger 9. and so far version 8 is cool and perfect...! download the perfect version here...!

Hey.. Just got solution for this, all you need to do is go to Preferences (Ctrl+Shift+P) and then go to Connection and down below you would find Internet Connection, set it to HIGH-SPEED (T1-LAN) and click on Apply and then Ok. All you have to do now is to EXIT (dont just close it but Exit out of the Messenger) and then launch the Messenger again. You should have the Call setup options under Calling and Devices in Preferences. (Preferences are under the Messenger menu) -- Dev

hi everybody.you must configure your machine for sound recogniziation on yahoo.
go to Action then Call Setup...
ensure your system have mic. then speech until you see OK under sound bar ..
finish it and use call ..

I am running Yahoo Messenger 9.0.0.2034 on Windows XP and get no ringtone when anyone attempts to call me in a direct PC-to-PC call. Everything checks out OK in setup, and I have even uninstalled Messenger and then re-installed it, to no avail. I can send and receive messages OK, but cannot place a voice call or receive a voice call. Oddly enough, though, I can receive an invitation to join a voice conference, even though it is only a conference of two parties, and that works fine: I can speak and hear.
