Hi.
I don't know if this is the case or not, but most burners will fail if you try to use an off name type of disk.
I have had a burner in my computers for several years now, and here is what I have found.
TDK, Maxell, and Dynex brand disks work almost every time.
Sony disks work most of the time, but only at lower to medium speeds.
Memorex disks are a crapshoot, you could have a stack of 50, and maybe 3 or 4 will fail, and then again, maybe 15-20 will fail.
GQ brand works great at slower speeds, but fail alot at high speeds.

Also, you may want to invent in a lens cleaner disk, as it might be that three is dust and dirt inside your burner, and that is what is causing your burner to fail out no you.

I hope this helps you out, and good luck to you.

I am trying to scan documents with my Lexmark X4530 It says "cannot retrieve application list". How do I scan with this issue?

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your computer. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. Try to scan again.
Note: If you're scanning documents for editing, make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer. The scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your Lexmark printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

The last 3 discs might be CD-RW which can be rewritten, but not all cd players will be able to read them. Just go to the store and buy some CD-R disks and re-burn the last 3 disks. That should solve your problem.

My pcg-grt240g laptop is giving an error when trying to load window xp operating system. what can i do?

Turn off your computer. Than go ahead and turn it back on while hitting the key "F8". Continue to do so until you see a screen appear with options like "Safe Mode". Use the arrow keys and press down until you have highlighted "Safe Mode with networking". Press enter and let the computer do its thing. Once down, login to the computer. If you are able to see the desktop again, go ahead and open your browser and download the following:
http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE Update the software and run a full scan. Once done, click remove and than finish. It will prompt you to reboot. Only do so if the other scan is finished
http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/run Agree to the use of the scanner, let it update, and finally hit scan.
After both scans, your computer should be clean and you will be able to boot into your computer normally
If the above does not work, try the first step of hitting "F8" and select the windows repair. Please contact me with any questions

I keep getting this message every time I want to scan something to my computer. "Scan Problem: Try Starting scan from computer. Refer to documentation for details."

Go to printers and Faxes in Control Panel Right Click the Printer, Select Properties Select Ports from the top tabs and make sure "Enable Bi-Directional Support" is selected.
Also check the HP ImageZone software settings to make sure the computer knows what to do when you scan directly.
This message is usually caused because the printer can not talk to the PC or does not know what to do with the scan.

Hi:
Make sure you go to Hp's website and download the drivers for windows 7 support. Also when installing HP printers make sure the printer is not attached to the computer while driver installation is preforming. Only attach the printer to the compter after the driver is installed and the system reboots.

I installed the Vista Drivers for my HP 4070 scanner and it gives me an error that "An Error Occured while Setting Scanner Properties. If another program is scanning, please wait for it to complete...

Install the latest drivers from the website. To download:
1 Go to hp.com 2 Click on Support and Drives 3 Enter your product name or number, in this case just type in Officejet 8500 All-In-One 4 Hit go 5 Choose your operating system 6 Hit Next 7 Click on the link that says Driver - Product Installation Software 8 Save it to your desktop
But before Installing the Software, use the Disc that came with the printer so you can do an L3_Uninstall first.

To go for an L3_Uninstall:
1 Go to My Computer (XP), Computer (Vista and Win7) 2 Right Click on the Driver CD, The one that has the HP Logo 3 Open Util 4 Open CCC 5 Double Click on the icon that says Uninstall_L3
The Uninstall will prompt you to restart the computer once it's done. After doing so, Install the newly downloaded software.
Try scanning again, I hope this worked. :)

I have an HP Pavilion mx704 desktop PC 2005 model, and I can not burn music onto a CD. This computer has a CD burner, and when I start burn of the downloaded song, it says insert disk, I put a blank CD-R...

What OS and burn software are you using? Can you see the music files when you look at the file explorer on the computer (My Computer or Computer in Windows and double click on the optical drive)? Check if the disc has any scratches.

If you see the music listed on the optical disc, check if the disc was finalized. (Again in Windows Computer, right click on the optical drive and it should be an option if the disc hasn't been finalized.)

If there are no files on the CD-R, make certain that the disc isn't being formatted before you try the burn. (Formatting should only be done on R/W discs.)

If the music files are on the optical disc and the disc was finalized, your CD player is not tracking across the disc properly. Try a lens cleaner. It may need repair and I've never successfully repaired a CD drive (the only ones I've had fail were in computers and were cheaper to replace). The mirror and the belt are the most likely places to have issues.

I hope this helps.
