I am not familiar with your type of system. However, there is a certain pin jumper layout on the motherboard that you can set, and then turn on the machine which in turn clears out the password.

You can try this:

as soon as you turn it on, keep pressing F8, you will see another screen which gives you options, choose option says Last known good configuration to see if it takes you all the way to your desktop. Let me know.

How to clear security password

To get rid of a BIOS password ( a password when the computer first turns on ) you need to clear the CMOS.
In order to do that, you need to unplug it from the wall and then try turning it on ( to remove any stored charge).

The battery looks like the one in the picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Battery-lithium-cr2032.jpg
It usually has a metal clip holding it in, you need to push it in to get the battery out.

Keep the battery out for around 2 minutes, then put it back in, reattach the power cables, and reboot.

If the password you're referring to is the one for the windows, take a look at Ophcrack. They have a file you can burn to a CD, available here: http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/download.php?type=livecd , which will crack the password for Windows XP or Windows Vista computers.

Turn on it says password

There is a BIOS Password on this PC it sounds like. If you are comfortable with this, open the computer. You will see a watch battery. Near it will be a little plastic thing on two of 3 metal spikes. Thats a jumper. Move it to the other side of the three spikes. Turn the PC on. Once it boots for a little bit, it probably won't let you do anything. Turn it back off and put the jumper back in the right place. If that isn't there take out the battery you see, keep it out for 30 seconds, unplug from the power as well. Put the battery back in, it may fix your problem.

Simple answer, find the password. Complicated answer, do whats above :-) Good luck!

Unable to login to laptop due to forgotten login password

First thing you can try is:

1: When booting up the laptop Press F8 until you see a screen show that has an option to boot in "Safe Mode"
2: Once it has finished booting up you can Select Administrator and hopefully there is no password set.
3: If there is no password set then login as Administrator and goto "Control Panel", Select User Accounts and change your daughter's password to something she wont forget ;p

if that fails then you can try this

http://www.lostpassword.com/

Offers a program that resets your passwords.

Hope this helped.
