If you switch your tv of at the plug the software cant do the updates. Leave the tv in standby over night and that should work. If you do leave it on standby but still losing channels contact goodmans as you may need an update of the software
This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly.
Once you repair the power supply then you may need to replace other components if needed (EX: backlight inverter)!
Please rate if this helps! :D
Replacing capacitors is ALWAYS the cheaper option, but you need to have experience it, or you'll create more damage than good!
turn TV on, let the Tv cycle through the three colours, then using the remote press the menu button followed by the standby button. press standby button again and it all comes up working.
yes we have stock of most tv stands many makes in stock goodmans, techwood, murphy,LG, Sony, Technosonic etc prices from £15.00 call for details 07979438800 please leave message if unanswered many thanks
tv goes into standby all the time if a power supply is not fine, what happens is that a power supply produces two voltages, one small one powers a standby components and bigger voltage powers a line transformer which later produces more small voltages,
then later cancels the first small voltage.
chec your power supply semi conductors like, transistors, diodes and small value resistors, on your power supply. some power supply uses a IC to oscillate a ht. so check a supply at a w/shop.
