Printer connection had come out of the computer port and I hadn't noticed, printer itself is stand alone so was printing photos OK but I couldn't print documents. Everything up and running once again and both printer and computer say cartridges are full.

I bought a new epson black catridge but printer shows it being empty even though it feels full

Unfortunately this sort of error can occur whether the cartridge is a genuine Epson one or a perfectly good compatible. Remove the cartridge and carefully, with clean piece of cotton-type cloth, wipe the contacts and try again as that will often clear the error.

Hp Designjet 500 not recognising ink cartridges. the ink carts were nowhere near empty but coming but the printer says replace bought new ones and put them in and the machine is not recognising them...

I've had that problem with unfinished cartridges showing up as empty. I imagine that it could be a bad cartridge as well but I hear and feel the ink when I shake the cartridge. Therefore the ink is there. I also have a problem with some inks. I find the HP inks work perfectly whereas other manufacturers' inks work on and off. I need a solution as well. Right now I have full cartridges that are not picked up by the Designjet sensor. Any idea?

My computer is saying that my ink on my printer is out but I just bought the ink today what is going on?What should I do?

Did you buy an original or refilled cartridge??

SOME of the catridges for Pixma will read empty even when new and full. ESPECIALLY the refilled ones.

I would return it to where you bought it along with your printer and test the new cartridge IN THE SHOP.

Printer will not print. It is connected to the computer with a USB and it is connected securely. It is not correctly reporting ink levels even though I replaced the empty and the low one . It still shows...

most of the inkjet printers are like the same problems. when you are replace the cartridge use origional. dont use gray and refill cartridge. the printer head sensor cannot regognize these kinds of cartridge. so if u use the origional one it will show the ink level.

Won't print black even though shows as 50% full

Print heads may be clogged. Other carts may be empty, some printers will not print if any carts are empty.

Dell A960 cartridge problem

Does the black cartridge print? If not did you take the tape off of it? Error 50 is a generalized error reading relating to a number of cartridge problems. If the color cartridge is empty, it may be theproblem although I have not found this to be true on Dell printers. If you remove the color cartridge and reinstall it the reading will indicate its full (even though it isn't. This may solve the problem.

Right cartridge incorrect" and "Left cartridge incorrect

Many newer HP Printers internally keep track of your cartridges by a serial number embedded into the cartridge. When it's low, the printer remembers. This is entirely done within the printer itself, and not the printer software. Some printers EXPIRE the cartridges after 18 months according to the installation date even it is not empty.

Outrageous, but true.

A fix? Most HP printers will only keep 2 cartridges in memory, so if you have 2 extra cartridges, (even empty ones) you could cycle them through to reset the printers memory, and reset the ink level to full. Basically, even though you've refilled your cartridge, the printers has the cartridge's serial number stored in memory. This will reset it.
