You said you have warranty..... better to return to where you buy it... there is two kinds of problem in that situation.. 1 is the power ic due to some over charging. 2. the zoomlenz mechinical allignment ussually not return in the right position when batt comes dead when it using.

What is all the types of memory cards for a Kodak EasyShare c142

the lack of replies suggests you'd be better off putting a memory card into anything else other than a Kodak easyshare..... just look on here at the amount of Kodak & easyshare problems there are....... but for the record, "GOOGLE" mentions 32GB works fine and class 4 or over.

Power switch not working

hello sir .. does your batteries are charged already??
if your batteries are fully charged and your camera didn`t turn on,
there`s a possibility that your camera has a problem. You can visit the store where you bought your camera and you can ask questions there why does your camera didn`t turn on whenever your batteries are ok .. :)

Whenever I put new batteries in it works for a few photos but the power is dead as soon as I return to use the camera in an hour or so...

There are some cameras that consumes power a lot. In this case I will recommend to use rechargable batteries.

Won't turn on

check if the battery is low, then recharge it. or replace with new battery if it does not have charger.
see if the power button is good. if it doesnt and you follow my advise then there is some problem with your camera.

The camera dosnt turn on. The batteries work and are in correctly what do I do ?

Check and clean contacts, but make sure contacts reach the batteries. Sometimes when batteries were reversed, contacts are pushed down too far.

My Kodak EasyShare C142 keeps telling me that it cannot read the 2G memory card. I have had the same memory card since I bought the camera new 2 months ago I just took pics with it 2 days ago and when I...

The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

My Kodak Camera C142 does not want to switch on, what should i do? I was takig pictures with the battary still full and it just switched off and wont turn back on. What should i do?

Hi,

If you have not used your camera for few months the problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try solution before you do anything else:

Step1: Remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper).

Step2: Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Thank you !!
