I have a Laser Class 710 and the error light keeps blinking. There is a message that says "incorrect paper size received in memory". How do I get rid of this?

Someone has probably sent you a fax on 8 1/2 x 14 inch (legal size) paper. Pull down the manual hand feed tray which is located above the regular paper cassettes and place some legal size paper in it. Hopefully the fax will be outputted and the message will go away. Good luck.

Printer showing error message ...."printing

This means that your machine has received a print job that is teling it to print on paper that is loaded or supposed to be loaded in the bypass feed tray. You will either need to delete the print job using the operation panel or simple load some letter size paper in the bypass tray over on the right side of the machine.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

I keep getting a "paper jammed" message, but there

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

dirty sensor that the fuser unit activates needs cleaning. Remove the vertical paper feed assembly - you'll see a black sensor arm that "breaks" a photo interupter and closes 2 micro switches. Its the photo interupter thats dirty.

I received the following error message (6A00) and my printer woun't work

Hello there.
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Copier doesn't recognize that paper is loaded

Hello sir; Make sure you close drawer tight then pay attention on listening the noise when you close the drawer, if quiet that's mean paper lifting motor defect, otherwise go to paper sensor.

Canon Colorpass Z3000 / C-3220

Hello AILERON,
The minimum temp of the Canon IR 3220 copier is 190 degress celcius which is 374 farenheit. You did not indicate if the temp you are referring to for your label is F or C. I tend to believe it is the latter (C) if as you say the label is designed for laser printers. Laser printers typically use a high temp (like the 3220) to "fuse" or bond the toner to the paper. So, if it is indeed a celcius reference you should be ok. Use the bypass tray to feed the paper. The copier will most likely ask you the size and type of paper you are using. As far as "type" of stock you are using, start out with "PLAIN".If you indicate "HEAVY" or even "LABELS" as to the type of stock you are running, the temp will go up slightly as heavier or thicker paper requires a higher temp to properly bond the toner to the paper. I would run one sheet at a time. This allows the fuser temp to "recover" and bounce back to the original temp as anything run thru it will draw heat away. The heavier the stock the larger the depletion of heat as the paper runs thru. That is why there is a "heavy " setting. If your average customer ran card stock paper thru the bypass tray and indicated heavy (as they should) the copier would raise its temp and slow down in an effort to properly melt/fuse/bond the toner to the paper and maintain the temp despite the thicker paper's tendency to absorb large amounts of heat. I hope I made sense here. Or at least gave you enuff info for you to better understand the process and therefore make your own conclusions. If I helped you please take the time to let "FIXYA" know. :-) Good Luck. .............SPINAL
