1 - Is the CD clean . . No scratches etc..
2 - Can you read other CDs OK..
If the answer to 2 is no - Check all the leads, and clean the Lens.
If the answer to 2 is yes... try---
Green indelible marker, all the way around the outer edge of the CD.....THE RIM
The green marker acts as a 'filter' against the red laser - this will improve the signal - marginally, but sometimes enough.

My computer can't read the CD in the CD drive.

After 8 years you will probably need a new one. You could try cleaning it with a cleaning disc, or a dry air blower. But as they only cost about 15 GBP for a DVD re-writer, isn't it time you came up to date?

I have games downloaded on my pc that I got from free game sites. They are legal games that are free because they are sponsored. I would like to take them off of my hard drive and put them on cds to free...

Only if they are designed to be run from CD. Most games are "installed" onto your hard drive and put files all over the drive, not just in their game folder. So copying them from their game folder to a CD may lose support files needed to play. Easiest way to try this out...copy the files to the CD, then delete the files from the hard drive. Then try to play the game. If it won't play, copy the files back to where they were on the hard drive.

Get a little cd flashing by the pointer when putting a game on.the game will not start.what does the flashing cd mean?

The drive is attempting to initiate the Autorun of the CD. Some CDs have an autoplay feature, some don't, some the autoplay doesn't work. So open my computer, see if the drive actually reads the CD. If it does, look for an autoplay or setup.exe

Unable to install Maximym Mahjongg game. Computer cannot read the disk.

Good morning! please try to check from the Device Manager if your CD drive is enabled & working properly, if not we have to reinstall the driver, then after reinstalling the driver if still it doesn't read the inserted CD, then try to install a new CD Drive unit -if it works then the previous CD drive unit is defective. best regards

I bought 5200 great games and it will not down load it

In order for your computer to download the games first make sure there is enough memory on your computer. Then when you put in the disc for the game go up to "my computer" this will allow you to access the cd drive which should allow you to download the games. If this doesn't work you can contact me at - Ninjam0nkey18@aim.com -

I can not get the 5200 great games to work

check that you have the required specs to run the game.
if you do un-install then re-install the game and try again.
if you downloaded it ,download it again as a file may have got corrupted.

Crappy computer

the solution on the cd disc is to remove the cd out then uninstall the all games installed in this cd drive replace cd drive when it comes to uninstalling sim delux is goto where saved games in sim deluxe and save folder to a different location then uninstall then re-install with new cd drive and hunt net for nc patches for games that work if this still doesn't work time for re-install windows from scratch if you have a spare hard drive use it to copy all game saves to it then redo windows and all drivers then all games then place saves back into place where they came from. good luck.
