COMPUTER IS FROZEN..ERROR MESSAGE SAYS CHECK SIGNAL

So the message you get on your screen is telling you that there is no signal coming from the computer, Screen and computer are different parts, the screen is not your computer.

So this means that your computer is either not connected to your screen or not turned on. if it is turned on and properly connected, you have a hardware problem, take or have someone come over to inspect the pc in person.

I have a gateway nv5470u,it picked up virurs and went blank,,it would not come on,then one day i hit the turn on button,it come on a blank screen with a white line uptop to the lleft...

That means that the hard drive is not detected properly on the computer.
Start the computer and keep tapping F2.
You will get a setup utility.
Press F9 and hit ENTER.
Press F10 and hit ENTER.
Now restart the computer.
If u still have the blinking cursor on that black screen, u need to check your hard drive.
If u are gettng some other error in windows or just a black screen, try doing recovery.
Recovery will wipe off all your datas in the computer.
For doing it, keep tapping Alt+F10 as soon as u turn on the computer.
If u are succesful, it will give a message that windows is loading files.
Just follow the prompts.

Keep me posted on the status of the issue.
If that helps, dont forget to rate me.

Pavilion 510c PC Desktop: it wont boot ...it will come on but it will then g...

Hi if u get an error message after u log on to the desk top then u need to go to start ?run ?type msconfig? (do a clean boot )this is how u do? go to the startup tab click on disable all ? click on apply ?go the the services tab then check the box that says hide all microsoft services?then click on disable all ?u might get a message that access is denied dont worry click on ok and then close the page.It will prompt u to restart the computer ,restart it and then check u should not get the error message .Then u need to go to the same screen by typing in msconfig and then u need to find the program that is causing the error to come up .First enable all the startup items restart the computer and then check for the error if it does not then uncheck alleast 4 programs restart the computer and then check if u get the error or not so this way you will have to find that particular program that is causing the error to pop up and once u have found it just uncheck that particular program .

    all the best

I get a connect ok and then a connection terminated error message. [*] Connection established to 192.168.1.2, then an error message that gmail terminated the connection.

Somebody else is kicking you off of the network. Thats probably why you keep getting disconnected. Try moving your computer closer to the area or getting a new wireless card.

Was able to get connected to the internet twice to day when i came back in to get on the computer it couldnt connect to the internet said no dial tone. this is a new dell computer with an external modem...

Generally this is an indication of a modem failure. If there have been any storms in your area, then the modem may have been zapped. The dial tone curcuit is normally the first casualty when a modem gets hit with more power than normal.

Provided that your telephone is functional on that line (Unplug modem, and connect a handset if this is a modem only line and see if the handset gets a dial tone, this is a good check to make sure the line is functional)

    Runtime errors

    Solution:

    i) usually whenever there is virus, spyware, ... in your system some of the .dll will be lost or will lead to curruption or partial currption(some data or all the data in the .dll will be lost)

ii) as such some .dll files are heart or important to run system, some .dll files play mere role.

iii) when such .dll files are lost the program using these .dll files cannot locate or find their .dll files in such you get errors message as u said......

iv) as u debuging is not possible in the normal way until unless you have some debugging program or software such as "Visual Studio 2005" or Visual BASIC TOOLS....

    v) due to loss of some important .dll files your system might shutdown frequently..... but you are fortunate that you are getting error message....and these .dll play mere role....

vi) i would suggest to install some best rated antivirus, spyware( Bit Defender -rated top, AVG, Norton....) after perform full system scan try reinstall your OS or format your system or load OS Freshly....

    Thanking you

Dimension c521 computer gives a post error, floppy drive 0 error and keyboard error

    Hi,
The compute post tests the computer, insuring that it meets the necessary system requirements and that all hardware working properly before starting the remainder of the boot process.
1 Short Beep, Normal POST, computer is okay. No problem. 2 Short Beep, POST error....floppy drive 0 error and keyboard error........This can happen because there is something wrong with your floppy drive, something is causing your computer not to detect it or that you simply don't have one.
Check your floppy cables and connections first to ensure that they are connected properly, if they are then you may have a burned out controller on your motherboard, a bad floppy cable or drive, or your motherboard may be faulty. If you don't have one you can disable the message in your computers BIOS. To get to the BIOS screen, during boot up at the bottom of the screen it will say something like "press F2 for setup" or something along those lines. That will take you to the BIOS screen. In the settings there should be options like first boot device, second boot device, and so on... change the one that say 3.5 floppy to something else such as your CD rom. That will get rid of that message.
Keyboard error or no keyboard present shows up when your computer can't find your keyboard or there is something wrong with it. Replace with new keyboard. Thank you
