Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printing on HP T-shirt paper

Have HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One which was originally installed using XP.

Bought computer with Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.

Ordered appropriate disk to run printer with Vista. Everything works fine, including fax.
Want to print on t-shirts using HP Iron-on Transfer paper.

I have followed instructions...yet this feature is not showing up although there is a space and lines for it.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled printer thinking this would be added. 5600 Series installed for printing rather than 5600 All in One Series as instructions state.
Question: How do I install the 5600 All in One Series - so that this feature will enable me to print on HP Iron On Paper?

Thank You!

Sir,

The problem is not supported by vista of your printer. Try to print itself with XP and try to reinstall the vista driver software of your printer... or else click this link for more information.....

http://www.communities.hp.com/online/blogs/laserjet/archive/2007/02/26/HPPost2551.aspx

  • Use the right printer
Do not use iron-on transfers with laser printers.
  • Choose the right fabric
For best results, pre-wash your material.
  • Load media correctly
Make sure you load the transfer paper so it prints on the clean white side.
  • Launder with care
To wash, turn theitem inside out and wash in cold water (the first time, wash it withoutdetergent.) Remove the items immediately after the wash is done andhang to dry.

thanks
good luck

Try to overwrite the features or leave some features of previous software before uninstalling it.

Try to download the latest vista driver for your printer. Uninstall first and reinstall using the latest driver.

You'll need the Vista drivers installed on your computer. Were you running XP before? Visit the HP website and download the current Vista drivers -- there may be different drivers for the printer and scanner functions.

HP OJ 5610 Drivers-? Can not install printer.

In this case, there's no mystery as to the cause of the problem. You will be unable to use this printer with your operating system because there are no existing print drivers that work with 64 bit Vista. Your printer will work with Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, but not with Vista at all.

You have only two options...use a different HP printer that will work with Vista, or get a PC that has one of the supported operating systems on it and connect your current printer to that PC.

Sorry. I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but that's the best I can do until the proper drivers become available.

Unable to set prefrence to print on both sides

The only reference to a "two-sided printing module" I could find in relation to an Officejet is on the following web page at HP.com:

Two-sided Printing Overview

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything specific to Windows Vista that talks about two-sided printing, but my guess is that Vista has yet to support this function for the Officejet 5610. If XP performed two-sided printing without this physical module being installed, it may be that Vista requires it.

The only Vista related web page I found on the 5610's site at HP has to do with downloading a diagnotic software utility:

HP Printing Diagnostic Utility

If all else fails, I'd try downloading and running the utility to see if it'll fix the issue with Vista. Post back your results here. Good luck.

Installing HP 5610 all in one printer

Please let me know if you have Windows Vista on the new computer and you are putting the Installation Cd to install the printer on the computer.
Please check if Windows Vista written on the CD. If not no problem. Plug the usb cable to the computer and connect printer. Wait while you get the message that the device is ready to use.
Now try printing abd it will work fine.

If it is still not getting installed.....Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall the drivers for the Printer "Deskjets and Officejet" or anything like that. Then try installing. The issue will be resolved.

Printer not printing properly

Does it happen while printing from all the applications or from only any particular appication or from e-mail/web printing ?

Click Start (Windows Icon) - Printers Folder

Right click on the printer icon Officejet 5600 series and select properties. Click on the Advanced Tab. Enable the option Print Directly to printer. click Apply and OK. Check for the result.

you can download the new software driver for windows vista at HP's website, but if HP doesnt develop the driver for vista yet for your printer model, well all you can do is that you downgrade your PC into windows XP for you to use that printer again.
