How do you set up Internet on the wii?

To access the internet with your wii console you'll need either a wireless router/gateway, or a wii wired LAN connector.

1. Power on your Wii console
2. Access the "Wii Setting" menu by selecting the circular wii icon in the bottom left of the screen and then choosing wii settings.
3. Use the arrow on the right of the screen to move to page two, then select "internet".
4. Select "Connection 1 ' None"
5. Choose "Wireless Connection" (assuming you have a wireless router), then select "Search for Access Point".
6. Wait for your wii to scan, then select your wireless network, and if prompted enter your wireless network password/key. Then click "OK".

You should now be able to connect to the internet. If your Wii runs a connection test and it proves unsuccessful it will display an error code. If you get Error Code 51330 or 52130 this means the password you entered does not match the password on the wireless network you are attempting to join. A list of all other error codes and what they mean can be found here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/onlineErrorCodes.jsp

I am trying to hook up Netflix through my Wii and i can't seem to connect to my wirleless internet in my home. My computer's have no problem getting the Wi-Fi signal.

Reboot your wireless internet and move your Wii closer to the source of the wireless internet. Oftentimes the nintendo wireless receivers are far weaker than the wireless cards in computers or other wireless devices, so moving it closer should help. If this doesn't work, you can purchase a LAN extension for you wii and hook it up to the internet directly through a wired connection. Let me know if you need anything else.

When I connect my USB into system it messes with my wireless internet connection. As soon as I unhook it my internet connection is fine again.. Any Suggestions?

I think the problem is, that your wireless router is too close to the wireless connector of the headset, it's just a guess, but try to move them at least 3 meters apart.

The other thing that could cause trouble is the driver from logitech. Maybe your firewall is disabling all internet connection when the driver is trying to connect to the internet. Try to disable the firewall/antivir.

Or it's just the same frequency, but that's probably not possible.

I hope I could help you =)

Im using Wi-Fi USB connector for internet connetion, but it keep show up error code 52140, not able to connet... even my USB connetor is showing the running man mark on my computer?

Try this..

1. On the computer with the USB connector, get a command line (start -> run -> cmd) and type the command ipconfig /all
2. Normally it will show multiple DNS addresses.
3. Now connect your Nintendo USB connector.
4. Go to your network connections (usually under control panel) and right click the USB devices.
5. Under the general tab, look for Internet TCP/IP, highlight it and click properties.
6. Click Use the following DNS Addresses and enter the two addresses from step#2.

Connecting my PS3 to the internet using a 3G Verizon Broadband

Unfortunately the PS3 will not be recieving internet through this device, the USB connectors are set up to only work with PC or MAC specifically for that reason that gamers cannot use their Xbox or Playstation, and that is because Verizon offers a Wireless router cell phone data device which costs almost a thousand dollars, definately not worth it.

Wireless Connection

Move your computer to different postions and see if the frequency of the problem changes. Take your computer to a wireless internet cafe and see what happens as you move around the cafe. If your computer works at the cafe, your wireless router may be defective.

Make sure that your computer is getting a valid IP address from the router. If your wireless network is secured, you might as well consider checking the wireless settings.

No internet connection

You could try one of a few things.

1, get a wireless card if it does not have one already,
2. get regular internet from an ISP
3. Reset the network connections and make sure all cables are connected properly,
4. Set up a home network and use a second computer that has a reliable internet connection
5. move the tower around to see if it can catch a wireless signal,
6 (and last that i can pull from my head) Is to get a wireless signal expander to lengthen the range of current wireless around your house.

Nintendo usb connector

hi coolsoph,

Firstly, take note that Windows Vista doesn't support the Nintendo USB connector (currently there is now way of making it work on Vista, hopefully this will be resolved with the release of Vista Service Pack 1).

Secondly, and this is if you are using Windows XP as your computer operating system, try these steps to enable XP to share it's Internet connection with other computer (for ex your Wii):

1. Click Start -> Control Panel
2. In Control Panel open the Network Connections applet
3. Right-click on your active connection (will be named something like "Local Area Connection" if you use a cable to connect to your router or "Wireless Network Connection" if you use a wireless technology to connect to your router).
4. Click on Properties
5. Select the Advanced tab
6. Check the box named "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" in the Internet Connection Sharing area.
7. For good measure you can restart your PC after checking the box

I hope this is helpful information and thanks for using the FixYa services
Regards
