Well, I would please need your help asap. I really want my webcam to work again. Everytime I try to open the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam on me Netbook Aspire one AOA150 it would be a failure to find camera. it says i maybe using it in other programs but even though i restart my computer and i opened nothing else but the camera program it would still say the same thing. please help.

The oiriginal Acer webcam was providied by the manufacturer as a software program to be used by microsoft! After the warranty expired, I installed windows 7 and the camera disappeared! What does that tell ya!

I don't think that webcam need installed.
Just plug in your computer, finished.

Try and renstall the driver and software, Also if that does not work you just might have a issue with the actual hardware itself. But I would try and reinstall first to see if that plays catchup with your computer. 9 times out of 10 that is what the issue is. Thanks

Yeah I've noticed many users of Acer's Aspire complaining same problem and i must suggest you to upgrade your software because in many cases Acer gave older version of app and its not compatible with their Crystal Eye webcam. So please go to acer's website & download their latest version of that software from there...

You should be able to plug an additional webcam if that's what you are saying. In the program you are using, simply select the correct video source to use the other webcam.

If required you can disable the crystal eye webcam in the Windows device manager (control panel).

simpliest thing would be to go to acer's website, click on support and then drivers downloads and download the webcam drivers and softwar for your webcam..install them and try to run the crystal eye software again...sounds like the program isnt actually there but the drivers are.

u want to record video u can use cyberr link power producer provided by acer notebooks or any video capturing software and in the cap settings select crystal eye webcam as a source and ther eu go start rec ur video

The first thing to check is if your webcam is working correctly. If you're running Windows XP, click on the "start" button, then click on "My Computer". Now double click on "Acer Crystal Eye Webcam". It should now show a screen with video from the webcam (probably of your face in front of the computer).
