My machine is stone cold when I turn it on. I have opened it up and cant find a fuse. This happened before and it worked after I opened it and fiddled with the wires, but this time no joy.

I was a Saeco tech in Italy were i come from and i do know pretty this machine since are one of my favorite.I like solid construction machine and easy to operate. This machine is very stable, durable, and work with basic element.
Back to your problem technically could be something very easy to fix or something require a little time to troubleshhoting the real issue.

This coffe maker need to be open to check the status and troubleshooting the issue.Don`t forget to unplug the power cord first all the time.

This one are the check need to be done.

Check thermostat....some coffe maker have overheat protection thermostat and if the coffe maker was without water for a while that thermostat could be in protection.Sometimes they have a red push in for re arm .Try to push the re arm button.Check the thermo fuse(most of the time inside a silicon tube and on the top of the boiler) and check the heater element

To check the heater element you need a voltmeter (no power is necessary)
Set the meter on ohm and check if you have continuity. If you have continuity the heater is good.Check also 1 element and stick the other probe on ground to make sure no short are present.

Pls don`t forget to rate your experience

geox29 had the answer! My Saeco did the same thing after being left on for several days. In my Australian machine the reset/rearm button is a little brown (not red) rectangular button (about 6mm x 2mm) on top of the boiler, squeezed between the 2 blue wire terminals, directly opposite the steam knob on the side. It took me 10 minutes to see it! Pressed it down and the machine was back in action

We have broken the handle on pressurized portafilter for Saeco Via Venezia espresso machine. where can we get replacement?

I don't think the handle is sold separately. Seattlecoffeegear does sells both a bottomless and an unpressurised portafilter for the Via Venezia. Both would be considered upgraded gear vs the pressurized one.

Hello. The orange piece inside the pressurized portafiller of my Saeco Va Venezia Espresso Machine has come out, is there any way of getting it back in? Do I need a new pressurized portafiller? How do I...

Hi
They usually come out when the grind is to fine and you inner portion of the pressure system is getting dirty, the pressure pushes the orange o-ring out. It can be put back in but it is not easy. Sometimes its just easier to get a new one. Any Saeco pressurizes portafilter can work in your machine. Check ebay

Dear Expert, My Saeco VIA Venezia Problem is : Machine never comes up to Temperature (no Green Indicator Light), ie. doesn't heat and no pump. Like a fuse is blown. I have been told that there is a 'RESET'...

There is a fuse on top of the boiler. Its under a clip on the outside edge of the boiler. It is covered in a redish brown cover that you have tpo slide off to see the fuse. It is just better to replace the hole thing. If you don't have a pump also it could also be the switch. If you have any power its probably the fuse.

I press the power button to heat the water and the light doesn't come on and I get cold water coming out. How can I fix this. The steam light doesn't come on either if I press that button in.

you will need to take it apart and determine if you have:
a defective switch
a loose connection
a bad heater or
a bad thermal protection.
you will need to use a voltmeter to do this then buy the necessary parts unless it is a loose contact

Doesn't pressurize in order to steam

Can you get hot water and hot coffee from the machine? If yes, then check the thermostats on the boiler, it is possible that the one for the steam could be damaged. Check the schematic below I know its a gaggia model but its close.ac19505.jpg

No power to boiler - cold coffee

Heating element on boiler is defective. Depending on which model magic you have there might be a seperate boiler for the steamer. No power to heat plate would suggest heating element on heat plate has gone bad or worse case there's a malfunction on the pc board of some sort as everything is fed to it. If it is the board, unless it is the magic redesign (rectangle board vs triangle board), it cannot be replaced as saeco does not carry that part any longer.

Left power and steamer on overnight and now machine doesn't work

they have a heat fuse attached to the side of the pump so when you do what you did that melts and does not damage the coffee maker
They charge $100 to replace which is a bit tough, you could bypass easily but could damage to machine it not careful
as we have two and one has just stopped pumping, not picking up water so maybe worn valves and I just have it all to bits and saw the heat fuse on the side of the pump,
