We just bought a new car stereo since the one in the car is an old one anyway.
We thought, its not wise to spend money for the codes alone we just replaced it with a new one. Thank you for your offer of helping us.
God bless!

My car sterio needs code for it and its a ford focus ghia w reg

Welcome to FixYa.

The problem with these security codes is that each radio carries a code that is unique and individual to the radio itself. There is no master code for these radios. You will need to remove the radio from the dash to find the serial on a label at the back.

Forradio codes for Ford and many other models I can recommendthis site

Just enter the serial details when you have them and for a small fee you will have your code sent right back to your email or mobile phone. I use them regularly for radios that I repair and can confidently recommend them.

Thanks for using FixYa.

After an attempted installation of a new car stereo into my 1990 Toyota Corolla, the clock and the stereo won't work. At first the stereo was working. However, once I secured it into place, I checked...

Did you make sure the harness was plugged securely to the back of the deck? Sometimes if you don't make sure it is snuggly plugged into the back of the deck it can come loose.

After replacing the battery from the car, the radio is requesting me to enter a code. But since it is a second hand car, I do not have this code. The make of the car is: 2005 Ford Focus Ghia.

Youll need to visit the dealership bring your registration to prove you are the owner of the car. The advisor will call Support to obtain the code. Wait you said ford. Im sure its the same.

Replacing radio with an after market cd player in a 1999 ford au sedan jjust need to know what color wires what on the car

  • You did not list the model of Ford Sedan you are inquiring about. Here is a link that has quite a lot or car stereo wiring diagrams Look at the upper right of the page and scroll down a little bit as I have it on Ford vehicles already. Find the make and go to the year.
  • That being said if I can make a suggestion. I have hooked up hundreds of car stereos in my life. When I pull a factory radio I don't use the same wires that powered that factory stereo to power the after market stereos, DVD players etc. I go into the dash and find suitable wires a little thicker gauge to handle to often more powerful output of the aftermarket stereos.

Ford ghia estate 6006e cd player needs code but dident get it when i brought the car. model num is m065450

The code for this radio is
9 9 2 2

Please do leave a vote and comment to confirm this code is correct and it has helped.

If you are viewing this and need a code for your own Ford Radio (European Fords Only) you can get it for £3.50 from this site which is excellent value considering dealer charges.

Alternatively if you are willing to pay Ford £25 you can also contact your local Ford dealer directly and do that.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I need a radio code for my ford mondeo ghia

This can only be provided if you have the serial number of the radio. Remove the radio from the dash and you will find it on a label at the back. It should begin with M followed by 6 numbers e.g M123456

Post up the serial number of the radio and I will run the code for you.

How do you hook a pioneer cd player up to a 1991 ford taurus gl sedan

You can go to Walmart or Best Buy and buy an adapter so the new stereo will fit, and they also sell an adapter to hook your pioneer wires up to a plug that just plugs in to your original stereo wiring.

PLEASE RATE by checking one of the four thumbs ups!

Help: pioneer headunit install into a ford corsair 1990.

This is tough, You need to find one that gives continuity through it when the keys are off, and on. These are the positive wires which is your constant, and accessory. The constant is always powered so when the key is turned off, it's purpose of giving power to the stereo for memory(stations, clock, presets) will work. The accessory as we now know only turns on with the key turned. Finally the ground is a negative, and must not touch the previously mentioned wires. Test for continuity against metal, and probe the suspected ground wire for continuity.
Once these wires are correct, splice them together and the radio will turn on. Now you have the painful process of hooking up one speaker wire,(from stereo) and touching the other wire same color to the other wires in your car to make the speaker work, the more you get the faster it goes as you will weed out incorrect wires since you already have some that work. Once you know a set of 2 wires works for a speaker, make sure it is the correct speaker location, as white and gray are front speakers, and the green and purple are rear speakers. This is longer than knowing the colors, but once completed, you can label the wires and have them known for future technicalities.

sorry your car was not on my wiring list, so no info.
Any questions feel free to ask!

Need stereo code for a ford falcon EB 1992. thanks

All original car radios have their own unique security codes.

Assuming your radio is the original for this vehicle you simply take your vehicle ownership and registration papers to a Ford workshop they can get the code from the Ford computer network on the spot.

If the code does not work then it means that this radio is not the original for your car as it would have been replaced with them radio model.
