Most likely problem is you're zoomed out.
Most common method of resetting (in Firefox at least) is CTRL + 0
or use CTRL + / - to reduce/enlarge the page
or also sometimes holding CTRL and using the mousewheel works

Facebook login problems

If you are on a windows PC and on the Facebook screen you can use a keyboard shortcut to increase the font size for the page. The keyboard shortcut is to press the Ctrl key and the + key on your keyboard simultaneously until the font increases to the desired size. If the font becomes too large, the Ctrl key and the - key will shrink the text.

My screen has shrunk down to one long strip and the page is reduced I can't read anything?

Without seeing the page, I can only assume that it has reverted to a condensed version, liberating your workspace. If you look down at the lower right hand corner of the page, you will probably notice three small diagonal lines in the very corner... grab this area with your mouse (click and hold left mouse button depressed while stretching the page to the desired dimension.
Hope this helps.

I mistakenly hit some key and shrunk my facebook page

Assuming you are using a PC, go to the windows bar at the bottom of your screen and look for either Internet Explorer or Firefox (whichever browser you use to surf the Internet). Right-click on it and select Maximize.
