Question about Cameras

XD Card Formatting

I have recently bought a Fugifilm M 2GB xD card for an Olympus FE-170 camera. While the card has saved images, I understand now that I should have formatted it before use. Is there anyway round downloading my photos from the card to my pc?

Thanking you in advance of any advice!

Yes there is, you can either use a multi card reader in which you will attach to your pc, or connect your cam to pc and loading the softwares for your olympus camera.

Hope this helps

Unfortunately, if the strip is peeled, the card likely has been destroyed. If you caused that to happen, you are likely out of luck. However, If it is new card, I suggest that you contact the vendor who sold it to you and see if they will replace it. Since it is an Olympus Card you might also want to contact Olympus customer support to see what they may suggest. Is it possible that the card may have gotten wet or has been stored in a high-temperature environment? If so, that likely would be looked at as negligence and any warranty would not apply.

Memory card for olympus fe-330

The FE-330 uses xD cards. They're becoming a little hard to find, but you should still be able to find some at most electronics or office-supply stores. You can also find them at the online stores, but the shipping costs will probably be more than the cost of the cards themselves.

How do I veiw my xD-picture card in my computer? There is a insert slot for the card on my computer. Is there a programing disc?

Once the card is plugged into the card reader, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( ).

Is olympus xd -picture card, type m+ 2gb compatable with camera Fujifilm Finepix.

XD cards are now obsolete memory cards. The cards were developed by Olympus and Fujifilm and released during the summer of 2002. There is now an adapter that allows an SD card to be used in place of the XD card You need to remember that the capacity should not exceed 2 GB or the camera will not be able to accept it. As far as I know cameras accepting XD cards were last produced in 2007, I don't know what specific models however the camera specifications would show what type card it uses.

Just bought a used Pentax Optio 750Z online. Am trying to use 2GB San Disk Memory Card. Camera will not accept it. Monitor reads.."Memory Card Error". Is 2GB too much capacity? Is camera...

Is it a SDHC card? SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

You could try formatting the card. There is a function in the camera menus to do this. If it won't format then it may simply be too high capacity. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity a camera will use, as today's memory cards are much larger that those available when the manuals for even recent cameras were written.

What type of chip does fuji film fine pics A210 take

If you're asking which memory card it uses then the answer is xD.

They're available up to 2GB capacity but I strongly advise you not to go above a 1GB model as the larger card slows the camera down.

Your camera supports XD and Compact Flash (CF) cards. Most places such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, or Costco should sell them.
