I take it there is a line down the page. Check the fuser unit (The hot section) and see if the teflon roller is uniform. i.e teflon covering all the roller. DO NOT TOUCH AS VERY VERY HOT WILL HURT

If that looks ok then check the drum unit you will see if the line is on that already. If any of these parts are worn or like that replace the fuser hot roller, or the drum cleaning blade.

Thanks Jason

Canon MP980 prints horizontal pink lines across

try to change the color ink. horizontal banding (the pink or other color lines appearing means horizontal banding) when there is a problem on one of the heating element of the printer head. since almost all canon printers have head built in the inks, replacing the faulty ink will solve the problem. if not then the controller of printhead on the carriage and mainboard needs to be checked.

Fax not printing correctly

Sounds like your print head is dirty if you are using a inkjet machine. Although you didn't say what machine. Your machine should perform a print head cleaning procedure if you turn the machine off and then on again. Otherwise you'll need to replace the print head which may or may not be part of the ink cartridge depending upon the machine in question - good luck

Canon fax-B840 - Print is "stripey"

No not yet,the problem is the cartridge, sometimes even new cartridges might have a dry printhead
Remove you cartridge, put the printhead side in about 5mm of hot water and keep it there for 5 minutes, take it out and do head cleanning again.

Plain paper is coming out with black lines on it

if the lines on the copies happen only when you use the doc feeder then you have something on the small slot glass if you put the document on the glass and make a copy if there is still a line it is probably the drum
