Question about Audio Players & Recorders
SOURCE: i have a 1987 model
First connect all sources like tuner, cassette player, Cd player into the proper RCA inputs of the control amp, then connect the output of the control amp into the input of the equalizer. Then connect the output of the equalizer into the input of the amplifier. This is how to get the best performance and proper outputs to all the right equipment. The speaker outputs of the amplifier would then go to the speakers.

T-85L is a component of a hifi system not suposed to work alone. You have to connect it to another Kenwood component (an amplifier like the A85 ) through a special cable to power it on/off. The special cable can be used point to point or as daisy-chained.

Some diligent web searching on your part may turn something up.
This site identifies an interconnect cable
and there's a service manual on eBay.
For simple power sources, try Radio Shack.
