Most likeley to either be the fn (function button) in combination with the lcd/monitor button needing to being pressed in succession or it may need a new inverter. if you are tech savvy these are fairly easy to replace.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Advent 9912 wont turn on

remove the ac adapter
take the battery out
be sure nothing is connected with your laptop
then press and hold the power button for 60 secs to drain static as it is the most probable reason laptops stops working.
then connect the ac adapter only and without the battery try powering on the system
if it powers on
you can again shut it down
insert the battery
it should surely power on
