If you mean on start up, just reinstall live from below link, you wont lose any settings

Acer aspire 6530 webcam problems


you need to setup cam with msn
After you start Windows Live Messenger,
expand the view by clicking on the square
on top left next to the red X.
Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the
right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click
on “Show the Menu Bar”.
Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on Action.
Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting
and follow the instructions.

you need to set it up for msn
and make sure you have a updated msn

After you start Windows Live Messenger,

Crystal Eye Webcam wont work on MSN!

Acer aspire 2920 webcam won't work in msn messenger


Make sure that another webcam application isn't running such as Crystal Eye or whatever program you use to take pictures with the webcam.

Acer Crystal Eye Webcam and MSN Messenger


Straight from MSN helpdesk:

1. Click Start, click Run, copy and paste the following text: %SystemDrive%\Program Files\McAfee\SiteAdvisor in the Run box and click OK.
2. Right-click the file sasets.ini or sasets.dll and select Open With, then select Notepad.
3. Locate the section titled [msnmsgr.exe].
4. Change Enabled=1 to Enabled=0.
5. Click File and select Save.
6. Close sasets.ini or sasets.dll and restart your computer

Acer aspire 3680 on vista


I think there are issues with MSN messenger and vista, Check with the MSN website, there may be a special version.
