I cannot get my printer to print in only black and white. I have put new ink cartridges in, both color and black. I have selected "print in gray scale only" in the print options. But anything I...

Please take out the new cartridges and re-position them correctly i.e. color cartridge on the left and black cartridge on the right seating. Check that you hear a click sound when the cartridge is placed in the seating. Print a test page. Then switch off the printer for some time. Re start the printer and now carry out the gray scale printing.

All of a sudden it will not print but as soon as u turn the printer on it prints like a test page

may be you chaged the catridge.
It is not the test page it is alignment test page just put the printed alignment test page paper on scanner glass and press the scan button to complete the process. It is alignment process which is printer is doing for self testing after installing new cartridge. Just finish the process.
Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.

Printing problems with HP PSC 1317

remove the cartridge from the printer . in the bottom of the cartridge you can see the ink nozzles.shake the cartridge well & you can see the ink is coming out from the nozzles.clean it with tissue paper and put it back. or dip the cartrige in the warm water (be careful not dip the enter cartrige. only the bottom nozzles part )for one minute and shake the cartrige well.clean the nozzle with tissue and put it back.

I just got new color ink for my HP PSC 1410 but now is printing images total blue. please advice..

Ok firstly double check that the cartridge is in there properly (you should have heard a click when you pushed it in). Once you've done this go to your printer settings in your control panel and print a test page.
If the test page is total blue then take the ink cartridge back to the shop and get them to replace it (for free).

My all in one hp psc 1317 has gone off line and nothing i do seems to get it back on

First check the printer icon. ( Make sure the printer is turned on during this process)
Go to Start Control Panel Go to Hardware and sounds Go to printers.
And check that the printer PSC 1317 has a check mark.
If not right click on the same and left click on Set printer as default.
Next make sure the printer icon says 0Ready.
If not right click on top of the PSC 1317 icon and left click on Clear all documents (untill it says 0ready)
If it still does not say 0Ready.
Then Go to Start Then Run(if not where you see start search Type there as Run and hit enter in the run Box type services.msc and click Ok
Now in the services window Scroll down an locate for Print Spooler and double click on the same
Now under Services status If Start is highlighted Cliick on start ( now a small window will poppup and close)
If Stop is highlighted then click on stop ( A small window will popup and close, Now you will see start highlighted Click on start and then either click on apply or ok close all the windows and restart your computer.
Now First
Go to Start Control Panel Go to Hardware and sounds Go to printers. And check that the printer C3180 has a check mark and if it says 0Ready.
If yes Right click on the same icon and left click on Properties.
Now in this window towards the bottom right you will see a tab which says print test pageClick on it to see if it prints a test page.
If yes then Try to print a document.
If non of this works
Go to Start Control Panel (or setup then contro panel) and then go to Printer and faxes (or printers and other hardware)
And deleted any or all the icon which says PSC 1317
If it is not deleting then right click on the same icon and lecft click on cancel all documents Then unplug the USB cable which is connected to the printer end and leave it unplugged for atleast 1Mins before reconnecting (In the meantime reboot your computer)
After rebooting the computer connect the USB cord to the Computer it should install the printer diriver on its own (if it prompts the CD then insert the Cd if you have it handy) it may take some time to install the prnter driver
Then
Go to Start Control Panel Go to Hardware and sounds Go to printers.
then PSC 1317 See.if it says 0ReadyRight click on the same icon and left click on Properties
Now in this window towards the bottom right you will see a tab which says print test pageClick on it to see if it prints a test page then try printing any document or Email.

PRINTING BLANK SHEETS

You need to put the test page that was printed into the scanner part of the printer and then press the scan/blue button. This is so the printer can calibrate the new ink. When you have done that the next time you turn on the printer a blank page will not be printed. When you next change ink you will have to repeat the above procedure.
