this is most likely the whole power board, I would replace it fully or replace faulty component(s)

That must be an older tv because I'm not even showing the necessary part for repair. It sounds like the actual panel is bad. Most of them are not worth fixing. I have yet to see a plasma panel (the part itself) cost less than $600 and that's for a smaller one around 42". Its almost more cost effective to just buy a new tv. Sorry for the bad news.

How old it ur tv,ur plasma bulbs might need be replace.Could be the plasma tube it bad because long times use.But ur plasma screen it self could damage kind radiation not worth repairing.
U alway make deal with the repair man come out for estimate.Cost u like u repair with him.
Make sure ask him come out for no cost some charge $40 come out.

I f this is a LCD Flat Panel, I would acually suspect the LCD Panel. THey have been known for this kind of failure.

The panel is almost certainly bad. The only fix for this is to replace the whole panel which would cost more than the whole TV.

EASY! ok the 4th video processing unit is malfunctioning, if it is a Piano affect like the keys on the piano, then that can be fixed under your 1year warrenty after your 1year warrenty it will cost $200, but i could be wrong, i never studied panasonic plasma casue they ****, next time get a samsung.

IF THE LINE IS ABOUT 1INCH WIDE THE CHANCES ARE IT WILLBE YOUR PLASMA DISPLY THAT HAS GONE . WOULD BR CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW UNIT . HOWEVER TRY RINGING HITACHI EXPLAIN THE FAULT COMPLAIN THAT IT SHOULD OF LASTED LONGER THAN THE WARANTY AND SEE WHAT THEY WILL DO ABOUT IT
