This sounds like you have a bad ink cartridge, either inkjet, or laser colour, whetever the case may be... Have you tried a new ink cartridge?

In both cases, laser and inkjet, the cartridge incorporates the print heads which may become clogged, or misaligned, or the ink/toner inside may be starting to dry up, or cartriges may be bad from the start.

Especially if this is a cartridge that has been refilled before, I'd try a new cartridge.

Some printers also offer a print head alignment check in the software included. I'm not sure if yours does or not since you did not specify model number.

Why isn't my printer printing my picture?

Is it mac or windows based pc? Is the printer directly plugged in via USB cable, or is it a wireless network printer?

In most cases, if it was working as it now now. A simple computer restart can do the trick. If not, the other questions will help direct someone to the right place to look at the settings to make sure its properly being recognized by the computer

My pictures have lines in them and the color is not right

Your color cartridge is not printing out of every slot in the print head or you are out of one of the colors. Try printing a test patern. If you have the same problem with the test patern, change your color cartridge.

Canon cp330 printer otom part of picture not printing color properly

Have you ever wondered if your printer has run out of a colour? Here's a simple way to check.
Steps:
1. Go into Microsoft Word.
2. Create four small rectangles.
3. Colour one of them black, another pink, the next turquoise, and the last yellow.
4. Print!
5. If all of the colours have come out clearly, it means you have enough of each colour. If one or more are not clear, you need to change them.
6. Save the file in My Documents to run whenever you need to test your printer cartridges.
7. Run occasionally to work printhead if printer is not used very often.
Tips:
1. To create rectangles in Microsoft Word, bring up the Drawing toolbar on "View" then "Toolbars", and press the rectangle button. To colour them in, right-click on them and choose "Format Autoshape" then choose the colour for the fill.

Colour printing

If its a Canon printer try this.
OK, Canon will hate me for posting this.

1. Remove ink cartridges
2. Remove print head
3. go to sink or tub (stainless steel, not plastic type), pick up a roll of paper towel on the way.
4. Fold several layers of paper towel and place on flat surface.
5. Run hot water until HOT!
6. Turn hot water back to a dribble.
7. Run the dribbling hot water through print head, be careful not to wet the gold contacts.
8.When water running through print head is clear, place print head on paper towel.
9. Repeat number 7 and 8 until no colour shows on paper towel.
10. Gently DAB print head (DO NOT WIPE) inside and out with dry paper towel until dry.
11. I normally replace print head after drying, but you may wish to let it air dry overnight.
12. Replace print head in printer and install cartridges
13. Start printing.

I do this to all 4 of my Canon printers every 6 months or so.

If any colour fails to print after this process it means your print head probably needs replacing.

Printer not printing properly

When you changed the cartridges, the printer automatically prits a test / calibration page. This page must be placed in the scanner, then you have to press the "scan" key (the green one). It will calibrate an align the system. Then you'll be able to print.

Printing incorrect colouring

plz check the color carts: are they inserted at the right place? If not, change them into the right place. Run the cleaning cycle 4 times to get the wrong ink out of the tube and nozzels.

If you have them at the right places print a test print by pressing ink button and selecting the test print.

Does it look good or do still have the diffrent colors?

Colour printing

If the test patterns are not matching what your printer tells you is normal and your photos are banded horizontally, you may have clogged nozzles and printhead. Do a maintenace clean under your printers direction, and see if it now prints ok. Also, you may be low or out of one particular colour, but still have enough of the others and the printer will try to compensate by using available colours, hence colour banding and distortion. A manual clean with cotton buds and cleansing solution is recommended if the first clean does not help.
