How do install scanner in my pc - Epson Perfection 1260 Flatbed Scanner

To Install a scanner

1) Connect it to your Desktop or PC

2) Check whether its able to detect the new device, Right Click on "My computer" icon and click the manage option

3) Select "Device Manager" & you can see your PC name on the top of the right column, just right click on it and select scan for hardware changes, then you can find an option "others" or "Unknown device" where your device will be listed in yellow color as unknown device, just right click on it and select update software.

4) please have your driver software for your scanner ready else you can download it from their website

5) just accept the terms "I Agree" and download it & unzip it & double click on setup.exe & follow the steps.

6) After installing restart your machine. your ready to go.

7) you can find the printer & scanner icon in the control panel, then your ready to go.

If you do not have the drivers CD, download the "Epson Perfection 1260 Scanner" Drivers from http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=14553&prodoid=21643923&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows32

Choose the correct Operating System(OS), Drivers for your PC/Laptop, run the downloaded installers and follow the wizard instructions. Attach your scanner to the PC via the USB port, then power your scanner. If the correct drivers are installed to you PC, the system will automatically configure the hardware. Procedure are similar for any OS i.e Windows, Mac, etc...
