Hi,

I have the same (old) model : KE638JW-1 and type B40 (not 340)
Fuses are in the top and when you are in front, from your left to your right , this is the order :

30A 20A 20A 15A 30A 20A 20A

All fuses appears twice (may be one for each phase):

30 : OVEN
20 : LEFT (2) RING HEATER (may not be the right word)
20 : RIGHT (2) RING HEATER
15 : LIGHTS and 110V plug
30 : OVEN
20 : LEFT (2) RING HEATER
20 : RIGHT (2) RING HEATER

If you are interested, I can take a photo of the instruction normally sticked in the header. Just write to me at : C O M S P A M@V I D E O T R O N.C A

and since it is an antispam address, be sure to put (copy) this in the subject :

hth

ps : I know it may be to late, but I put the answer for anyone which come here.

Bye

Sebastien

I have a Hot Point Gas Stove my burners all turn on but when I turn on oven nothing seems to happen

If you have a pilotless model it is very likely that your oven igniter is bad. This is fairly easy to replace. A contunuity check will show if the igniter is bad.

A Manual for a Hot Point Stove Mod.KS 737KW-4

kitchen.manualsonline.com does not show a manual for your model. Hotpoint's official site doesn't list your model number. Are you sure of the model #? How old is this stove and what country was it purchased? I have a search for information on your particular model going on, but nothing yet. At the above site there is a link in middle of the page to Hotpoint support and the right of that page is a phone# if you don't see your model#. I don't think its toll free. At this point I'm waiting some replies and have no further information. Hope that helps and I'll post anything new.

We have a Sunjoy table top patio heater without the propane tank that fits inside. The heater number is L-PH007PSS-B. Where can we order a replacement tank from? Thank you. Pat

Pat, the model you have uses a 1 Lb tank, that can purchased at any hardware store or home center. It's the same size tank that Coleman stoves use. They run anywhere for $4,00 -$6.00.Unfortunately, you can't order full tanks, because of Hazmat issues in shipping to you.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

1999 Pontiac Bonneville headlights do not come on. Can't find fuse for headlights. Fob no longer activates door locks. Help.

THERE ARE 2 FUSE BOXES, 1 UNDER THE HOOD & 1 INSIDE THE CAR. TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH TEST EACH FUSE WITH A GOOD FUSE TESTER. FUSES CAN BE TESTED WITHOUT REMOVING THE FUSE FROM THE FUSE BOX. THERE ARE TEST POINTS ON EACH FUSE FACING OUT. POWER ON ONE SIDE OF THE FUSE, FUSE IS BAD. POWER ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FUSE IT'S O.K.

Ineed to replace the 12 volt fuse on my dometic refer and don't know what size fues to use.....

If you are talking about the fuse on the circut board, it tells you the size on the black cover, covering the circut board. I think it's a 1 amp and 3 amp glass fuse.

Circuit blows and when we get it back on the fault code says H3

Hello rcgrecco,
I will try to assist you but will be making some assumptions based on your problem description. First off, when you say it takes a few tries torest the fuses.. are you referring to circuit breakers? or changing out fuses a few time until it begins to work ok? In either case, the fact that it is drawing more current than the service ( fused or circuit breaker protected implies that you have one of two problems, 1. undersized service ( meaning the fuse of circuit breaker which protect the circuit is under-sized) or 2. a short internal to the stove or receptacle that supplies power to that stove.
I would approach a solution in this manner. Remove or disable power to the stove then open the wall receptacle and ( with power verified and off) tighten all wire junctions.. I have seen cases where a loose wire termination becomes resistive and then in order to meet power demand at the burner, more current is drawn which in turn causes the breaker or fuse to trip..) I would also check the terminations at the point of entry for the power cord at the stove. Make sure all the wire terminations are tight. Once you've done that, try turning on one burner at a time and see if the service remains on or trips the protector ( fuse/breaker) I wouldn't use the oven until I verified that each burner works OK.. then try the oven by itself.. and add a burner .. then two.. ( the point being is to try to determine if you have one of the heating elements shorting. 12:00 flashing is the default time setting after power is lost and restarted. I am almost 'questioning your electricians findings" since circuits do not trip unless there is a fault ( too much current being drawn or the service is under-sized for that oven) or... the circuit protection in and of itself is failing due to marginal components. The fact that it is getting worse suggests that whatever was shorting is shorting more frequently.. perhaps a heating element is shorting after it gets hot.. they are typically resistive elements and it is possible for a short to develop between the core material and the protective jacket.. I hope that helps you... or at least provides a few ideas on where to look...
Regards,
Rick
