You have to move the drain pan from the evaporator coil to make it functional for the install position.

What's wrong with your current AHU? Any Ruud dealer can assist you. Most 4 ton units work with r-22 or 410a. As a side note, most parts in an air handler can be replaced unless the case is rusted thru.
Try cleaning it and spray with an antibacterial spray. When the unit is running in cool mode it condensates and creates a moist environment inside the ac perfect for mold growth, some units have a coil dry mode which runs the fan to dry out the system after use.
Unfortunately you cannot mount this type of A/C vertically. The compressor must be in the upright position or it will be damaged and not function in a short period of time.
This may be a bigger issue than you want to tackle alone, generally speaking the coil will have to be ordered from a dealer, as most wholesalers will not sell to the general public. Further, this will require brazing the new coil in, evacuating the system, installing a dryer and recharging.
1. often there is a central return in the house. This is the place where the air gets pulled back to the unit and is likely very close to your thermostat. Check for a filtered louvered grill there and see if your filter is located here. If so, you can access the filter by opening the filter frame with a screwdriver or even a coin.
2. Otherwise I would expect that your filter is on the return-air side of your air handler (where the blower is) Older models have the filter actually inside the air handler in the blower compartment. Newer models may have a small separate filter door. I'd look in these areas.
most all airhandlers have a second pan included . if not they can usually be purchased with directions to mount to the side of the coil for horizontal right or horizontal left application. remove the front panel and take a flash light look inside and you should see a cookie sheet looking pan on one side of the coil usually on the right side coil can usually be removed and reinstalled with the top of the coil facing the filter or the blower depending on how you want the air to go . just be sure the pan is under the coil and you will be ok . i have actually seen pros install them with the pan above the coil! and of course they flood the place. water of course goes down hill. the square donut pan used for vertical install stays in place as found. you will need to install a second emergency pan to catch any backup drips especially if you put it in an attic. you should find them at a sheet metal shop and they are basically a pan even bigger than the airhandler that catches any drip. it should be connected to a drain to the outside also and a float switch installed in case it fails to shut off the ac. better to get a no cool call than a flooded house call. try to put the second drain out over a door or window where it will be noticed before damage. good luck and remember you will have to relocate ductwork, electric drains filters refrigerant lines and if its in an attic a decked service area and a light and an outlet are required here in fla. good luckagain.
Wireing this type AC with the wrong voltage, will damage more than the circuit boards. I think the installer wil need to be responsible for the damage he created. The factory will also try to get out of the replacement because of the installers lack of know how.
