Question about Panasonic SC-PT960 Theater System with Wireless Speakers

4 Answers

About the whole system and how it work. help!!

Ok. I trying to bid for an item on Ebay and it says that the DVD player says "Changer Error". So for my best knowledge, it just won't play DVD, right? I don't really need regular since I have already upgraded everything to Blue-Ray with my PS3. So my main question is that I know that the Panasonic sc-pt960 comes with wireless capability and does the wireless still works without the Panasonic DVD box..?! I mean, what does changer error means anyways?! help!!!!! please!!!

Mine has the same issue. you can use the other functions, but it is rather annoying having to wait for the system to figure out it is broken. You could just remove the DVD player so it doesn't test it every time you turn the power on. I opened mine up and figured out it was just a plastic piece that came lose and jammed the DVD rack. Im going to contact Panasonic to figure out how the piece goes back in.

Jon95 did you ever figure out how the piece goes back in? I have the same error message and am trying to figure out what the problem is. The tray loads but something is jamming it causing the error. Where was your loose part?

Just take out the metal cover, remove the DVD player (its is attached to mother board by three tiny connectors) and close it again. Be careful not to remove the three connectors that attach the front panel with the motherboard. If you do, be patient to put them back since you will have lousy connections when turning the unit on. You may loose the front LEDs if the third connector is to deep or too loose. You are loosing the DVD player but you will be able to put the unit in D-IN mode and use the optical connector. Nobody use that crappy DVD player anyway.

I removed the DVD tray and it is stuck on am/fm mode. I can change between the two (am or fm) but can't get any other input to select. I have tried both the selector button on the player and the select button on the remote, but neither do anything. I have tried unplugging it for an hour to reset it and it still says changer error when I try to do some things and just ignores other commands. What can I do?

I had the same problem as well. I just decided that since it was WAY past warranty time, and the model has been discontinued, I might as well take it apart. I found a little black arm like piece of plastic floating around inside the trays. I can't figure out where it goes exactly but I just removed the dvd trays and can at least use my surround sound!!! That's what mattered the most to me, I can use my PS3 for dvd/blue ray.

I found that same black plastic piece and found it where it goes but I still have the same changer error problem. I really dont care for the DVD player because I also have a ps3 and my main concern is getting my AUX function to work so that I can still use my surround sounds for my tv. How did you take out the dvd trays? Did this allow you to switch through functions normally again? Please help!

I over bid on an item by mistake. Instead of $2.25 I clicked on $225.00 Ebay is closed at this hour & I can not fix this muself.

your bid only goes .50 cents more than the last bid,it is ok that you bid 225.00,that was the highest you could bid, but, you got it for only 50 cents more than the last bid, dont worry,go back to ebay and view your purchase,it will tell you how much you bid,or paid for it,if the item didnt sell, then you better hope that noone bids on it before the end

How do I cancel bid ?

To retract a bid, sign into your eBay account, and then go to this page http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RetractBidShow. You will need the item number of the auction, and a valid reason for retracting the bid. You can also contact the seller, and ask them cancel the bid for you.

I entered GBP 1200.00 as a max bid instead of GBP 12.00

You should send that question to the customer service/support team of the particular site where you placed that bid.

How to make a secret maximum bid

When you bid on an item you can list your maximum bid. Ebay will increment your bid as someone out bids you, untill your max is hit. At the point your max is hit, ebay will email you that you have been out bid.

I recently placed a bid on a used wintec saddle.I then saw another saddle i liked better. So i placed a bid on that too.I want to cancel bidding on the first saddle cause i'm now the highest bidder on...

As per eBay and a general rule, based on your inquiry -you can't retract or cancel a bid. When you place a bid, you agree to pay for the item if you're the winning bidder. When you place a bid it is considered a contract, and you're obligated to purchase the item. The best way is to contact the seller thru email or sand a message as early as possible. Based on my experience sellers will work with you if you communicate with them openly and honestly.

Hope this helps.

I have all the speakers for the protron pds-2315 home theater system. I just need the dvd player.. Where can I find/buy just the dvd player for this system?

You could check the auction sites. I see the whole set on eBay right now for cheap. When bidding, strike at the last 10 seconds to prevent having to bid against yourself.

What is the minimum bet one can make on ebay

That will depend on the starting price or the current price of the item. When you bid on an item, there will be bid increments anytime someone bids against you.

How do I delete a Bid I made on EBAY?

As a general rule, you can’t retract or cancel a bid. Once you place a bid, you agree to pay for the item if you’re the winning bidder. However, honest mistakes sometimes occur. Review the conditions and time restrictions and if you feel you have a valid reason for retracting a bid, fill out aBid Retraction form.
