I'm trying to burn a music CD on my new HP computer and can't get the source disk to download to my hard drive. I'm an old dude and did print out the HP instruction sheet-still confused.

Hello rhughes612,

You may try burn by CD to CD burn but if you want to select files that you want to burn, you have to ripped the music from the Music CD by using Window Media Player 10 or higher. Or try using software that ripped music from CD.

This is the instruction of CD to CD:

1. Insert the source disk
2. Then hit burn or copy to CD on your HP CD & DVD burner software or application.
Then it will be temporarily copied to the hard drive.
3. after it finishes copying the source disk, you will be ask to insert a blank CD then hit continue or OK

Please reply or respond if this doesn't work so that I could provide you another solution and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Connect your USB cable into your computer ! Make sure the connections are OK. You must have at least Windows XP SP 2 Installed. When the connection will be fine, go to ,,MY COMPUTER" then enter in the ,,Removable Disk" partition and in MP3 folder put the song that you want.
