Prostart 6 button in sleep mode

Sleep mode is a convenient power-saving feature used on both laptops and desktop computers. This feature powers down hard disks, monitors, wireless devices and any other power-consuming peripherals without turning the unit completely off and necessitating a reboot. Sleep mode can prevent battery drain if using a laptop or mobile device while away from the power supply. This mode is useful when quick access to a computer is needed, but can be irritating if the sleep mode takes a long time to come back from. It is simple to turn sleep mode off, based on the operating system being used.

Go to the "Start" button, then click on "Control Panel." In the control panel screen, click "System and Maintenance," then click on "Power Options." This brings you to the "Select a power plan" page. From the "Select a power plan" page, select the option that says "Change plan settings." This changes the settings on the currently selected plan. Select the "Change advanced power settings" option. Click "Sleep" and then click on "Sleep After" to expand it. If using a laptop or mobile PC, click "On battery" and "Plugged in," then select the "Never" option. This turns off sleep mode for both battery and AC use. If you are using a desktop computer, click "Setting," click the arrow and then click "Never" to turn off sleep mode. Click "OK," then click "Save changes" to save the modification. b> Turning Off Sleep Mode - Mac OS b> Click on the Apple logo at the upper left corner of the screen to open the menu and select the "System Preferences" option. From the "System Preferences" screen, click on "Energy Saver." If you are using a desktop, select "Power Adapter" in the top drop-down menu. In the second drop-down menu, select "Custom." Highlight the "Sleep" tab, then adjust the top slider to the far right, marked "Never." I f you wish the display to stay on, adjust the bottom slider to "Never." Click the red button on the upper left side of the "Energy Saver" screen. If you are using a mobile product or laptop, follow step 2 and select "Battery" from the top drop-down menu. Repeat step 3 to change the settings for battery use. Hope this helps.

The protection circuitry has been activated 3 times consecutively and as a safety precaution, capability to turn on the power is disabled.

If there is no apparent cause for the protection mode activating (such as shorted speakers, burning smell, blown fuses, lighting strike or mains power surges), reset the protection as follows and see what happens.

Connect power cord to mains and wait 5 seconds or so. While holding down "info" and "tone control" buttons, press "main zone" power button briefly and release, but keep "info" and "tone control" buttons pressed for at least 3 more seconds. The unit should power up. Assuming the reason for the protection has passed or been fixed, the unit can now be turned off and then back on with the "main zone" power button to restore normal operation mode.
If the protector activates again, the fault is still present and the unit needs to be repaired, ideally by a Yamaha authorised repairer.
There are dangerous voltages present in high power amps and a lot of grunt in terms of stored energy - best left to trained technicians.

Monitor going to sleep

juanmgerman0, Connect SDM-X82 to known-good pc that has all sleep mode, power-save mode disabled. (turned-off) If unit still goes to black screen mode, then look at the "date of Manufacture" on rear of unit and let me know if you see "2002 -2004" as the year produced. Retrevo lists unit as "time to retire". Power supply may be going into shut-down mode having detected a problem with itself or the CCFL inverter circuit. 12fixlouie

The operation and timer lights on my Fujitsu split system are flashing on and off several times when the unit is switched off I noticed this after the system had stopped blowing air & I knew the room...

I have same problem like yours to my newly installed Fujitsu multi-split system (the first time use since system installed 1 week ago). I rang the electrician who did the installation; he said it must be the units themselves nothing to do with electricity.

Okay, then I rang Fujitsu and their local service agent. They suggested me to switch off C/B for an hour to reset the units. I followed the instruction but the indoor units still did not respond to remote control...

It simply looks like no power supply to indoor units (they are hard-wired to the outdoor unit). So I used a multi-meter to test the power terminals of indoor units (Danger! If you have no idea about this, don't even try! ): it seemed no power supply even C/B is on. I turned to the isolator which next to the outdoor unit. The isolator was making arcing noise when I switched it on and off. The indoor units suddenly turned on for few minutes then died again.

So I figured out the problem is that crooked isolator. I called the unhappy electrician to replace the isolator. End story....

I hope my experience will help you a little bit.

Hot tub stuck in 'SL' mode

Need to know what buttons your topside control has... depending on the model, some have a mode button which you press and release and then immediately press the temp up or down, to select SL for sleep (no heat), ST for standard (heat as needed) or EC for Economy (only heat during filtration). If the mode button is not present, and you have a single temp button and light button, try pressing and releasing temp and then immediately pressing light button, repeat until choice appears, then wait, it will hold last displayed mode.

TX-47F430S seems to be the common problem of going back into standby. Powers up shows the logs and then goes back to low power. The light never goes blue. The fiber optical laser turns on and stays on but...

This is known as SLEEP MODE / STANDY MODE problem.

Simple solutions:
1. Get a power surge protector / strip.
2. Plug your TV power cord to the power surge.
3.Then turn-on your TV using the remote control2_bing.gif. Just in case it won't go all the way to normal state.
4. Turn-off the switch of your power surge like 5 times with an interval of 3-5 seconds.
5. Then repeat step 3 and 4.
6. These steps are done to over-ride the sleep mode.

After turning ON the power/standby switch, the unit(receiver) display comes ON (green light) then after approx.4-5 seconds the display goes OFF and the unit defaults back to the standby mode (red light). I...

Is the red light flashing at first?
The unit may be going into protect mode. Lets hope it has done the job and the receiver has protected itself from failure.
Protect mode can result from speaker wires touching each other or the Amps2_bing.gif metal case. Check that first.
It can also be caused by unstable ohm loads if too many speakers2_bing.gif are connected to any of the outputs especially zone 2.
If you can remove all speaker wires and turn the unit back on. If it stays on, turn the volume down on the main zone and zone 2 if connected. Then reconnect speaker wires.

Instead of sleep mode, tyr hibernate. It is generally faster except the whole computer shuts down. When you power back up, you're exactly where you were. Mine takes about 30 seconds.
