To perform a Master Reset on the nuvi 300 series, follow these steps:

Start with the device OFF and unplugged from the power source.
Use your index finger to press and hold the top right corner of the touchscreen.
Power the device ON while continuing to press and hold your finger to the top right corner of the touchscreen.
After the device powers ON, release the power button. Then you will see the message: Do you really want to erase all user data?*
When this message displays, remove your finger from the top right of the touchscreen and touch Yes.
The device will now go through the Reset.
Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your nuvi.

After the nuvi is set up, if indoors, please go outside to allow the device to acquire the satellite information. Ensure that the device has a clear line-of-sight with the sky.
*If this message does not appear when using the top right corner of the touchscreen, please repeat these steps using the bottom right corner of the touchscreen.

Master reset will not reset a PIN. You have to either take the unit to the "safe" location where the unit will not ask for a PIN or send the unit back to the factory.

if you forgot your pin number you must return to the SECURITY LOCATION...... the security location is where you first set up your gps....( your home or office ) then the unit will automatically unlock for you, remember to reset your pin number when unlocked..

Other than that you would have to send your unit back to Garmin with the proper receipt of ownership.

If you forgot your PIN, take the unit to your Security Location (where you first set the PIN). The unit will unlock and you can reset it.

I get wrong distances to front and back of green. ie middle says 150 yards and front says 10 and back says 12. This started when I downloaded the "upgraded" software about 2-1/2 months ago.

Germin nuvi 350 na I am not accqiring signal. it is a black screen.please give me solution of the problem.

You cannot do nat, to prevent stolen garmins to be sold. Send it tro Garmin and the will help You!

When you set up your password you had to also set up your secret place. Take it to your secret place and reset the password.

Hello

You'll have to courier it to Texas to have it unlocked, or else send it in to Garmin to have them reset it. You'll also need to send the original receipt with the unit.

you need to return to the location (home) where you set the password. At home location, it does not ask for password.
