Mitsubishi VS60609 problem

I have tried to hold down the menu and power button to try and get a code but It wont give me one. Every time I push the power button it acts like it is just getting ready to turn on then ... click from somewhere, and it goes off. I checked all the fuses, is there any thing else I can check? Thanks, Brian Sigourney gsxawd@kc.rr.com

Problem started with everything getting darker and darker until there was nothing but a balck screen but it had sound. I tried convergence, still nothing. I tried the picture in a picture (PIP), and I had a good picture there, but the full screen was black. Frusterated a couple days later I tried again, then I was having the problem of the unit trying to come on and then 5-10 seconds later powering down. After trying multiple times, I gave up. Can anyone direct me to the problem or the correct part I need so I don't have to have someone come out to service it.

    Thanks.

Tv shutting off wont let me delete parental code, i dont know what it is

You can reset the parental pass-code.
Most RCA and GE TV sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset procedure is different depending on the model. Try each method until you find one that works:

1. Hold down MENU on the remote and VOLUME DOWN on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

2. Hold down the 0 on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN buttons on the TV its self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds.

4. Hold down GO BACK on the remote and MENU on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.

5. Hold down EJECT on the front of the TV and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds.
Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

I need the code to set up my tv using at&t uverse remote, and the tv has no power button

  • Make sure that you have turned on the tv before you begin programing your Uverse remote control.

  • Hold down the TV button on the Uverse remote. (If you are trying to program a different device, hold down the button that names that device). As you are holding the TV button, press and release the OK button. You know you have done this right when all the mode keys flash twice.
  • Find the 4 digit code for your device
  • At this point, the TV mode button should flash three times. Try to turn the TV off by pushing the power button. If it does not turn off, try a different code. The manufacturer of your TV has many codes.
  • If none of the codes for your device work, try manually searching for a code. Go back and repeat steps 1 and 2. Then enter 922. Hold play as the remote cycles through various codes. When your TV turns off, push enter.
