Question about HP Pavilion dv4000 Notebook
Not sure what Disks are shipped with your Notebook....
If your Notebook is shipped with Restore disks, you need to first insert the Disk in the DVD Drive and close it.
Now, restart the Notebook and start tapping the Esc key which displays the boot order.
Select the DVD Drive as the first boot device and save the settings.
The Notebook will start with the Restore Disk.
Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the reinstallation.
Better if you go with NTFS file system rather than FAT.
However, I am not sure whether you will get an option to select the file system.
Hope this helps...

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
