Question about Breadmakers
We have a Home Hardware "HOME line" brand bread maker but no manual or associated cookbook. I would like to use a generic bread maker cookbook that I already have but this bread pan is smaller than other bread makers and I'm not sure about proportions. I can't even find a listing on the web for this bread maker, it's that old! Help!
Sounds like my exact problem. I bought in an antique store (here in Vcr-Canada) an un-used machine. Home-line "Home Bakery" Mod.CBM-5511.
1-lb loaf capacity. With lots of auto-settings.
A lady friend at work took it home yesterday and made me a wonderful loaf based on the instructions and recipe for her new Black & Decker model. It all came out Great.
I wolfed that loaf when I got home tonite. I even copied the simple recipe that she used for making the bread and for some other doughs to make buns ect. I'm gonna try it out on my wife soon. I LOOOOVVVVE breads.

Here are the proportions for a loaf of Multigrain.
1 tablespoon yeast in bottom
1 cup multi grain four
1 cup regular flour
1 tablespoons milk powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg ... half egg if loaf rises too high
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 TEASPOON salt
1 cup hot water on top.
could add 1 TEASPOON gluten.
Makes a great loaf.

I have a Home-line "Home Bakery" Mod.CBM-5511 and since I moved, I cannot locate my manual for it. Does anyone have a copy of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
