I would like to know how to get on facebook. Ihave several messages on it but do not know to respond

Facebook does not maintain a list of those who have blocked you. The only way for you to really know if you are blocked is to send a message or respond to a user. If the message or response is met with a pop-up reading "you cannot contact this user", then consider yourself blocked.

Recently Facebook and Facebook Games have experienced connection problems with some internet service providers (example CLEAR, ATT, etc) Users can sometimes view messages, and old news feed items, but it will not refresh and you cannot reply to messages. Does this sound right?

The outage started around Nov 26th and is not yet resolved as of Dec 1st. The outage is also noticeable with other websites such as Craig's list and some parts of yahoo. If you are having trouble accessing news feeds on any of these sites the issue is probably not with your device. It is the host server that connects to your internet service provider.
Therefore it is not something that you will be able to fix. There are several outages currently affecting over 100 different websites right now. Users in the Central and Western US will be affected most as well as parts of Europe. There is a 60% chance it is affecting you if you are in one of these areas.

Best course of action is to contact your internet service provider and let them know what sites you cannot access, then ask if they know how long the outage will last.

There can be several reasons for that:
1. Your internet connection disconnected at the moment
2. The server was taking too long to respond
3. the firewall blocked it

If you can't add a friend on Facebook, they may have not accepted your "friend request" yet. In some cases, the person may have accidentally hit the "block this person" link.

In other cases, they may have purposely blocked you.

The most common reason is that they are busy and haven't seen your "friend request" yet.

Sometimes, people respond to this a couple of months later.

You may want to track down they're actual email address and send them a quick, friendly note asking to "please friend me on Facebook. I sent you a friend request a long time ago."

If they don't respond, they're either too busy or they may have blocked you for some reason.

Don't give up.

Look at their friends and send them a messages asking if they know why the person won't friend you. (One time, I was the friend that wouldn't respond. I was in the hospital for 10 days!)

You never know why, sometimes. Some people just don't respond.

Go to your accunt settings and resend the confirmation email. Maybe you set the wrong email. Make sure you spelt it right.
