1) It could be problem with your Laptop RAM (Memory)
OR
2) It could be problem with your Laptop Hard Disk Drive.
Sol:
Try to install a different RAM ( Memory) and Check, if it works well and good or else try re-installing your the OS (Operating System) Even after installing if it doesn't work then it should be problem with the Hard Disk Drive. .
A laptop can freeze for many reasons. Often bad hardware....like USB devices, worn out hard disk, blocked fan/overheating CPU, motherboard problems especially soldering of graphics chip on more recent models. The best way to proceed is by elimination. You might consider a thorough test of hard disc using free software (available from Seagate as 'Seatools' or other from any hard disc maker). Often there can be blue screens and crashes. You can look at the event logs and get info from there. Cleaning out a blocked cooling system can cure overheating probs (they will generally occur after about 30 minutes). Software can do it also, try a new hard disc, OS and software to diagnose that. Don't forget to check your RAM also, MS have a free testing application free of charge that runs from floppy, memory stick or CD (download on line). If there is a freeze when you move the laptop or lid, it's almost certainly a bad motherboard. Hope this helps
There are multiple possible reasons for your problem: 1. virus 2. hard-drive malfunctions 3. OS malfunctions 4. memory failure
Try to install an antivirus and do a deep scan. You should pay attention to a boot sector virus.
If this doesn't help, do a back-up of your data, format your hard disk and re-install a fresh OS.
If this doesn't help either, try changing the RAM memory.
If that doesn't help either, it means your hard disk's boot sector is damaged. There are solutions for this too, but I think there is a big chance you won't get to this point.
First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.
The error indicates that there's a hard drive issue. If it just happened after the hard disk is reinstalled, remove it and reinstall it. It could be a problem caused by loose connection or improper connections. If the same problem repeats, install the hard drive on another system (to verify whether it works on another machine or not and to confirm it still works). If it doesn't work on another computer/system then your only option to run the system is replacing the hard disk. If it works on another computer or if it's detected on another system, then there could be problem with the hard disk, eg. Corrupt Partition, Windows Corrupt etc.... First of all, try booting into Safe Mode. You have to press F8 during the startup to go into Advanced Boot Options. Once you are in the Windows Advanced Boot Options, select Safe Mode using the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard. If it still doesn't work, it's the hard disk issue. Try with another Hard Disk. But if in case you can boot into safe mode, check the Hard Disk for errors. In other words, run Windows Checkdisk utility. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further help. Good Luck.
