I bought a phone set called 'UNIDEN 5.8GHz C/less 3pk Tam F 5333' On trying the phones at my home by ringing out there was a fearful noise rather like a scraping -waterfall noise when the other person spoke, there is technology about the house such as a hard-drive-DVD recorder, a DVD-VCR recorder (L.G.s), two computers, three little radios, the usual microwave, dish washer, etc, which I would say is normal in most modern households today.
My wife has a cheap **** Smith cordless phone that works perfectly in the same house and is parked right next to a computer, (contrary to technical advice), regretfully this one is not a speaker phone and my hearing is bad, apart from this the Uniden phones have been tried out with the others disconnected (no change in reception).
So now the problem is twofold, how do I hear speakers I ring without all that noise, and also the problem that the phone is "out of range" as soon as I go into the garden or workshop, do you have a phone that operates "in range" to a reasonable distance? (My wife's **** Smith phone will phone in from the next road over a block away!)
Are there any answers to these two problems? I did return the phone set for a refund but I would be interested in Uniden phones if there is set that overcomes these rather ridiculous weaknesses. (There isn't a listed expert on cordless phones; this is not a mobile phone).
