As long as the colored connections are in the correct holes (red with red and so on) then you should have sound if not then the built in amplifier is shot, it is probably better if you get a new system or contact Magnavox for a exchange price on out of warranty units which they have

Check what type of Audio input it has on it. It should either have an Optical Audio input(glowing red while unit is turned on) or an Audio input(red and white jacks) You would run the correct cable fromthe Audio Output on your tv,To the Audio Input on your surround sound reciever. Let me know if this helps solve your problem.
Hi, Yes, tis unit has 2 video inputs at rear so you can connect any other dvd player sound (analog or digital) to get 5.1 channel surround sound from DAV-C770 speakers. Click Sony Support to download user manual copy of DAV-C770 that has more details about connection setup. Hope this info will help you. Thanks.
That's an old unit!!!! Reboot is what happens when you shut the computer down and then turn it back on. This is not exactly a computer but it does have a processor and it does require the same treatment. You'll probably have to pull the plug too, for a minute or so.
If this doesn't help, you probably have a broken tray mechanism, either mechanical or electronic failure and repair is iffy and probably not worth the money.
If the DVD player is seperate from the surround system and hooked up to the tv. You should have a wire from audio out on the tv to the audio in on surround sound. Some tv require you to turn off tv speakers inorder for it to be routed to the audio out. In which case you can do this in the menu.
Solution NO I need a Remote that will let me use this thing. I can play it,but without the remote you can't adjust the Surround sound Speakers. Can't adjust anything really. If you push the wrong button on the unit itself It will go into mute mode then have to wait until it decides to play again. PLEASE somebody out there must have some idea on where to get one(remote) or replacement. As for the Company that made this system DONT even go there. They just don't care Really I will never bye anything from that Company again. What kind of Company dose not back there Product. That's why there on the Bottom as far as Electronics go. Thanks any Help on this will be appreciated.
