I would use the windows xp driver and install it in compatibility mode; right click on the driver and select compatibility mode on the menu. choose windows recommended settings. a rectangular box will appear on the menu that says start program, that will start the program in windxp mode that should install the driver properly.

My web ccam does'nt work!

What I could recon from your question is that your webcam driver is not installed in your PC.

Please be informed that any Driver software depends upon the hardware make and Operating System. So, you need to know all these information's to do get going.

Please find the Driver software's of your webcam inside the installation disk provided with the System at the time of purchase. In case if you do not posses the same then you need to download the driver software from the web. As you have not mentioned the Operating System you are using, I am unable to give you the direct download link.

However you can download the same by visiting the website

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp

Even here you need to be careful to download the correct software for your PC. You need to be exact with the System Model number and the OS that you are using.

After you have downloaded the driver, to install just plug in the webcam on to your PC and then Double click on the driver setup.exe file and go on clicking 'Next' until you get the 'Finish' option and restart the PC.

What I could recon from your question is that your audio driver is not installed in your reformatted PC.

Please be informed that any Driver software depends upon the PC make, Motherboard type and Operating System. You need to know all the three information's to do get going.

Please refer the above image. It is clearly seen that your Laptop does not support Windows XP. It only supports Windows Vista or higher.
Thus I would request you to use Windows 7 as OS because all the hardware drivers are available for windows 7 by Toshiba including the Sound.

This is the Direct Driver Download link for your laptop. Here you need to select your Operating System (Windows7) and all the drivers will follow in the list below. Here you will also find windows XP but you will see that a lot of drivers are missing including the sound driver.
So, my suggestion is to upgrade to windows 7.
Good Luck.

To use scroll function, you have to install the touchpad drivers, which are available from Toshiba Official Support. Click Here to download the required touchpad drivers. Select 'Touchpad' from Category and install Synaptics or Alps Drivers (Depending upon the type of touchpad you have on your system).

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

Windows7 driver

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_42.jpg

I am using toshiba l310 laptop with windows xp installed onit.NOW I WANT TO CHANGE MY OPERATING SYSTEM FROM XP TO WINDOWS 7,MY QUESTION IS THAT CAN I USE SAME DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 7 WHICH I USE ON XP ...

You will need new drivers for Win 7. Before attempting to go to Win 7, run the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor and see what issues it lists: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161223 (since laptops have on-board video that may be an issue). You will be doing a custom install from XP and have to reinstall all of your programs and drivers - many will be available. Several XP programs will not install in Win7 without some work (compatability mode or the XP mode virtual machine (in Pro or Ultimate). Upgrading your software may be needed unless you have the latest version that supports XP through Win7 or want to do the work-arounds.

In addition you would be wise to check for any BIOS updates for your specific machine and apply those. Windows 7 is a good OS if you have 2 GB or more of memory. It can run with less but it isn't better than XP in that case. The biggest difference is that Win7 will be supported by Microsoft for updates for a longer period (patches); XP will lose that support in the next few years.

I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells
(I converted an XP desktop to Win7. However, my video card could handle the OS and I have 2.5 GB of memory and a Windows Experience Index of 3.9 from the system.)
